Great Lakes Cotton Company is registered in Mauritius, and owns cotton ginneries in Uganda, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It produces high quality roller ginned and saw ginned cotton lint and cotton seeds. It produces lint for shipment throughout the year and focuses on supplying strict middling 1.1/8 or longer staple to spinners in the Far East, European and South African markets. Great Lakes is a joint venture between Plexus Cotton Limited and Africa Resources Holdings Limited. It combines the strength of Plexus' international cotton marketing network with Africa Resources' expertise in operating cotton ginneries in rural Africa. |
