Ladies Cotton Underwear

I'm drafting a market research survey about a particular brand of women's cotton underwear. In one question of the survey, I'd like to get an idea of the respondent's use of "comfort" underwear vs. "fashion" underwear vs. "sport" underwear. Are those categories clear or should I categorize by the material used (silk, cotton, etc.). How would you refer to the different types of underwear that you use? Any help is appreciated.

"Period panties" unattractive cotton underwear thats easy to wash just in case..

"Comfort" regular shaped underwear that cover the butt by a decent amount, usually made of cotton or another soft material. boyshorts too

"Trendy" thongs and underwear meant to not be seen under clothes. no panty lines. may have a flashy pattern or design.

"Slutty" lace and crotchless panties. usually made out of silk or some other shiny material. can come with ribbon ties at sides making them easy to remove.

I want to buy lingerie for my girlfriend, but i want to buy something practical that she will actually enjoy wearing. Should I buy her a cotton bikini? Boy shorts? Teddy? One piece? Lace? Silk?

Well, first you have to know her right size, second you wanna get something you would love to see her in, but at the same time you want her to be comfortable too. I think something silk or silk w/lace and a sexy color like red or black those two colors always look good no matter what you get. Whatever you get she is going to be happy that you put a lot of effort in it and that you got her a gift. Good Man!

I started another question about the fact that satin and nylon panties are becoming extinct in our society today. Fullback panties seem to be going that route also. All we have left now is skimpy microfiber thongs, cotton boyshorts that remind me of my tity-whities I wore as a boy, and boxers for women. What happened to sexy, shiny, panties that left something to the imagination? Am I the only guy that seems to care? These new panties are a major turnoff for me. What do you wear and does your boyfriend or husband have a preference?
I've heard from many women that they are afraid of a yeast infection from satin panties but if satin panties have been around for decades why now is anyone noticing? Most yeast infections are brought on by having more than one partner in a short amount of time. Anyways, I had a girlfriend that wore very sexy satin panties at work but would switch to cotton to avoid the infection thing. What I don't get is women don't even try to turn on the man anymore even in bed. You can't tell me that wearing a sexy satin panty over white cotton boyshorts for 20 minutes before bed is going to cause an infection. Just some thoughts I wanted to add.

Do you prefer cotton, silk, a man-made fiber, or what?

I like micro fibre and replace it when it ready to go (holes, not supportive etc.)
