would this shrink too much?

Okay well I bought some underwear a few months ago lol and they were too big so I stashed them away for a while but I just found them now, they're still to big, but I want to shrink them. They're like 2 sizes too big, don't really know why I bought that size lol. Well Anyways I want to shrink them, they're 100 percent cotton. Should I just keep washing and drying them till they shrink enough? If I just put them in the dryer without them being wet woudl they shrink a lot? Too much? Is it worth a shot?


Wash them in hot water then dry in the dryer.
