Red Cotton Socks

I have to wear steel toes boots for my work. It's been hot lately and I've been dripping sweat an awful lot. I wear cotton socks but sincethey are encased in heavy boots, they don't breathe. I think the salt from my sweat is giving me these spots. My socks are completely soaked with sweat when I take them off at night. Is there a cream I can get to get rid of them?

Definately new socks to start with....there are better ones to soak up the sweat better and with the ability to keep your skin a bit more protected. However, your predicament is not great. I too would go with the benedryl topical cream at night..there are a few others too in the same section at the store. The powders could potentially help too- but I would start with changing of sock brands or even switching in new ones at lunch. The benedryl will help with the bumps at night though. Maybe talk with the others at work and compare...maybe they have a better brand of boots too that will help.

I have a very large bright red and very sore patch of skin ubder my right breast. I am large breasted. I have tried diaper rash cream, and powder. I now have a cotton sock stuffed under and wearing no bra. What else should I try? Please it is very painful. I( have had it about 2 weeks.

For two weeks? Bright red spot under the breast...your in pain?
I really, really think you should see a doctor!! It could be nothing...but for two weeks...it may just be something serious. Just go and see a doctor ASAP...this is your health and it's worth a DR visit!

6 months ago I bought a new package of socks and when I wore them my skin would get red and itchy where the top of the sock (elastic part) touched my leg/ankle. It looks and feels like a sunburn. I found that when I wear only 100% cotton socks I don't get that irritation. I'd worn those types of socks my whole life so why did it start now?

Allergies can develop any time in life. You could have been allergic to the type of material the sock was made with, you could have had a reaction just to the elastic, the chemicals in the packaging, if you washed the socks before wearing them did you use a different detergent? Unfortunately you have to use process of elimination.

My feet also sweat alot when I'm wearing shoes. I wear cotton socks. Sometimes, when it's really humid out, and I've been wearing my shoes for many hours, other people can smell it even. They'll be like " What smells like doritos!?!?" Then my face will turn red and they know it's me.

I think I will die of embarrassment if I don't fix this soon.
Please Help!

Let shoes/sneakers air out for 24 hours.

Wash feet good, use a good sock with silver embedded in fiber.
Get these at Walmart.

Use a good foot lotion like this 'Wonder Foot Lotion.'

I'm either wearing red heels white cotton socks, white mini skirt and black top with red lacey boyshorts and matching bra or black dress with black heels, black panties and suspenders, suspender belt and matching bra. Or any other sexy outfit you can suggest?
