Girls Cotton Socks

i bought several nylon ankle socks, but the sales woman said they are not breathable, and cotton socks are? but why is nylon so expensive ? i got 2 pairs for 9.99 and 2 cotton for 4.99? both are black socks and pattern on the toes and heels. reason i asking is because my daughter is such a fashionable girl and even the socks have to be good quality and nice looking ty.

This girl from work i know wears white cotton socks in her white new balance 608 sneakers, and she sais her feet dont smell or stink at the end of the shift they just smell like the factory is this true?????? she sais its because her sneakers and socks are white.

White socks are usually made of cotton material and so they absorb the moisture better which is why they don't make your feet smell unless you have an infection. Colored socks are normally made of man made fibers so they do not wick the moisture away like white socks do causing your feet to stay sweaty and increases the chance of athletes foot etc.

Girls, do you find your feet sweat more, get more damp and moist when wearing nylons in closed shoes than if you were wearing regular cotton socks or even no socks at all (bare feet)?

My feet tend to sweat more when wearing hose because I walk a lot for my job. I always wear hose when Im at work. I only wear socks when Im around the house lounging or working out.

I referred to a pair of white (kind of sheer) "socks"on a gal had on one night, and i was told they were NOT knee socks.. what were they short stockings? These were bright white put not cotton. Are non cotton somewhat sexy "socks" that come up to the knee on girls called something other than knee socks? Thanks

I believe they were knee high stockings or "knee highs"

Hi, I find the really long socks or thigh high stocking made of cotton to be very popular in south and central america, why isn't america into them as well? The Alicia Silversone style in "clueless" was popular among teenagers, but has it died? I remember the style going on up to late 90's, but now I hardly ever see anyone wearing that style. I live in Cali, maybe the style still goes on in another states... just a curious question.

I think Barbie still wears those.
