Cotton Tube Socks

my girl friend wants me to wear thin black and white striped knee highs with my dr. marten boots. she said its not fair that only she wears those socks. I only sock i wear is thick cotton tube socks with my boots. I'm thinking those thin socks will create a stinky smell in my boots. Does anyone have any experience wearing thin socks with leather boots, and if so does it stink or smell?

I'm not sure what kind of socks those are but you can try some powder that they sell so your shoes won't smell. I am not sure of the powder's name but it's meant to keep your feet fresh and don't have that bad smell. can you send me a message please? I read more of your questions and I want to talk to you.

what type of socks do you wear in your skates? I wear typical cotton athletic tubes, but they get wet and my feet get cold. I've heard to wear thin, but then you don't get the absorption. I've also heard to go barefoot, but then I get rubs and my feet get slimy. Do they make socks similar to cycling or outdoors socks, e.g. coolmax, that is a good sock inside of hockey skates? Who sells such socks?

i would go with under armor sock. they keep your feet dry and warm ( if you get winter season) and they also come in diff. thicknesses and are very comfortable

i would chose metalic silver leggings because it matches the head band lol

I'm admittedly a pool rookie, this is the first full season we've had our pool I've been battling this for weeks now. Our water is perfectly clear and the chemicals test at ideal levels. But, I cannot get rid of this yellow/green dirt at the bottom of the pool. I have stretched a section of panty-hose over the skimmer basket and put a white cotton tube sock in the basket too. When I vac both have this gross yellow/green tint to them that I keep rinsing out. The stuff settles in the dips in the liner and looks like dirt from above. We have corn that's tasseled nearby and also a walnut tree, I've heard they might be the cause.

We had a similar problem and finally found a way to solve it - Go to the store and get the basket "socks" that are made for pools (they are more dense than nylons or normal socks) and put 2 of them (one over the other) on the filter basket and vacuum (very) slowly and thoroughly.

This should remove the majority of the pollen/dead algae that you are seeing - You may need to do it for a few days to get it completely cleaned up.

The problem is that the residue is so fine it passes through your sand filter and is returned to the pool even as you are vacuuming - once the water settles you see that it didn't go anywhere. The socks work great for getting the fine particles out once and for all.

I feel they're too young, particularly bad with white cotton socks - other opinions?
Thank you :) They're actually for my little sister - secondary school being 11 year olds - and I'm trying to make the point that they're not a good idea (having just left secondary school, I should know!). As the same time, my style fails as well...

uhm... i dont think so. esspecially if your wearing socks. usually you should wear sport shoes with socks.
if you want it to be try somthing like that without the straps looking more like flats and with out socks.
and if u really want to wear dthose with socks wear them with short colorful socks but then they will look childish.
