Where can I find cheap wide-calf knee socks?

I have a small budget and large legs. Regular women's knee socks cut into my legs. Where can I find some inexpensive but nice, plus-size ladies' knee socks? (By the way, I don't mean those nylon "trouser socks;" I would like something thicker and warmer, maybe made of cotton or something).

    Maybe it's just me. But I can't seem to find knee-high stockings anywhere.

    I looked at Wegmans twice, Target three times. Each time, I couldn't find any.

    I could find plenty of expensive "trouser socks," which are basically knee-highs in their Sunday best. But I couldn't find any plain old knee highs.

    I'm talking about the think cheap ones -- I usually buy a big box of 10, and it lasts me forever. I can wear a pair to work, hand wash them that night, and they are dry by morning. Heck, they are dry in a half hour.

    Trouser socks are nice, but they are pricey. I hate to pay so much for what is just a glorified knee high. As much as the herringbone print or the ribbing is pretty, it's not worth it to me to spend $3 for a pair of socks.
