The Tae Kwon Do facility smells very ripe like a thousand stinky feet! His feet are peeling and under his pinky toe hurts to the touch. He also says it burns when I ask him but I don't know if he is just saying that. He does wear sneakers everyday to school and cotton socks. He bathes daily and doesn't go bare foot anywhere but Tae Kwon Do. What could this be and what should I do for it? Being that he is only 4, going to be 5 on Feb 10th, is there anything formulated for children as far as medicines? Please Help!

i would also guess that hes getting athletes foot from the mats. if anyone else has it it will just keep spreading and everyone will have it, youll have to read the lables and see about using it on a child but just try an over the counter anti fungal first and if that doesnt work take him to the dr and get something for it.


this means they dont clean their mats,,,i would put a bug in someones ear about it and see if other parents were having trouble then band together and make them clean them regularly.or at least spray them down with weak bleach water every evening at closing.

My daughter turns 4 in July and so is due to start school this September (bless her cotton socks, she'll be one of the youngest in her class). As she is my 1st and only child, im not sure how this works. I know that the government or whoever is supposed to contact me with a form to fill in with preferred schools. But ive recently moved house. Will they still be able to do this? If so, roughly when will this be? And if not, what steps should I take? Feedback appreciated. Thanks

I don't know much about how the process works as I don't have kids or know too well where you even are. . . but I'd go and find someone in your local school's office (okay) or administration building (better). He/she should be able to point you in the right direction given that you have a reason to be concerned about missing the paperwork, even if you didn't happen to stumble into the right place initially.

Would having a 1 year old out in 30 degree weather in only a long-sleeved cotton shirt, pants, and a pair of socks be considered neglect since the child did not have on a jacket, hat, mittens, or shoes? The child has repeatedly been sick with colds and an ear infection. Would a court of law consider that neglect?
The family has the items for the child but chooses not to put them on the child, however, the child usually is not outside longer than about 5 minutes or so.

I think so, Especially if the child gets sick. I'll bet the parent has a coat on when they go out. I'd call the Department of Family Services and report them anonomously. If it's not neglect, nothing will happen. If it is, well, you've just saved a child from more neglect.
