Cotton Blend Socks

Nylon, lycra, rayon, spandex mixes make my feet sweet and I don't like that, Any help is appreciated!
I have even seen bamboo socks but didnt buy them because i wasnt sure they would wick away moisture in my dress shoes- Fall is here and it was cold today. I would like a nice comfortable sock and my feet are worth $15 or less a pair to me, LOL

etsy.com has lots of hand made ones you can buy, also if you can craft you can swap on craftster.org for some that is what i do :)

I went to Japan a few years ago, and I bought toe socks. They felt like and were made from cotton just like regular socks you would buy here in the states - not that thick, really long, acrylic blend kind of toe socks you find in Wal-Mart. They were ankle socks with cute decorations on them, but I'm not particular about designs. I love them! Please help!

We have adopted a soldier in Afghanistan who has socks on his wish list. We don't have direct communication or I would ask.

I was thinking dark colors, cotton blends, wool blends because of cold weather. Is this right?

What kind of socks to buy?

You can go with the cotton or wool blends, they have some that have a black band up top ( the part that would show when your trousers ride up above your boot) but a white body. The only reason I'd go with these over the regulation socks is simply because our corpsman said that when it gets too hot the dye can leach into your skin and possibly cause an infection. I'm just a gunrock and the corpsman is the guy who looks out for us so I take his word for it. Other things to send your adopted soldier would be skivvy drawers and if possible shirts.

Sock makers manufacture cotton socks in colors other than white if he feels he needs to wear cotton. I've even seen socks with a white sole while the rest of the sock is a blend that stays up well and looks good with a suite.

White socks and his double-breasted pin-striped suits just look goofy.

I have always thought they were gray. I've recently wondered the same thing, same with why the low loafers! Perhaps it's just an affectation of his... if he MUST wear a suit, then he wasn't going to give up 'casual' altogether...

Im looking for a pair of all white cable-knit if you can find them but it can be rib-knit too over the knee socks. Im not looking for lycra or nylon socks, they can be cashmere, cotton, cotton blend/ cotton wool blend. I want a true over the knee sock not a knee sock that stretches to be otk. Is there any websites where I can find them?

Also Im wondering where i can find a pair of YSL charcoal gray knee socks I think they are ribbed, and have the logo on the top of the sock?
