Size Cotton Skirt

i saw this interlock mini skirt that i bout at american apparel today, it was a small n i thought it would fit alright, but the bottom is a bit loose, since it was the last one, i had to buy it, just wondering will it shrink if i put in the laundry? if so, how much?
cuz i want it to shrink a bit, and when it does shrink, does it stay till that size? thanks

The interlock material doesn't shrink as much, but it'll still shrink a bit in the dryer. However, it'll stretch back out as you're wearing it.

that I purchased, tore the tags off, threw them away...all before trying it on. I know..stupid!!
Anyways, its too big. How would I go about shrinking it down a size? Is it even possible?
Its very casual...has a drawstring waist
I am also worried about fading..its has a zip up hooded jacket that matches and it fits. I dont want that to shrink.
Its an A-line skirt...pulling it tight to fit with the drawstrings scrunches up the waist line and looks rediculous.

All I can suggest is washing it in hot water and then drying it at the hottest heat your dryer has.

If you have access to a sewing machine you could make it smaller by sewing one of the seams bigger.

wear it as a dress!!! omg its waay better as a dress! size 8-10 is small and size 10-12 is medium so your call. and i don't even think its short lol and ooh get royale blue or purple. cant do a smiley or anything cos im on the dodgy keyboard x

I just got a skirt that is like, half a size too big for me. I don't have time to exchange it and it's not THAT big on me. I just want to shrink it a little in the washer/dryer. How do I do that? It's a denim skirt, the tag says it's 100% cotton.

You simply dry it after washing it and it'll shrink......DUH!

I've been looking for ages to find the perfect orange mini skirt (brand new). I'd prefer it to be straight or a-line, not too short and a lighter fabric like cotton maybe. I'm a size 10-12. Don't know what I want to spend yet so I've left out a price range. Any suggestions would be greatly received. If you can, pics or web address would be a bonus.
