Nope, not only is it too much red but maroon/dark red and regular red don't go together at all. Go for a black shirt and black shoes.

I used Shout spray on it last night and it faded some, but not completely. I don't know if washing it now will set the stain. What should I do?

I have a black skirt and I want to dye it red. The skirt is 55% polyester and 45% cotton. Should I bleach it first and then use fabric dye? Or will it work if I just use fabric dye?

I have this white skirt that is mostly cotton and a little bit of nylon in the details. My mom washed it with a red towel and now its got this ugly pinkish twinge to it! It says on the label that you can use non-chlorine bleach when needed. So how can i get my skirt back to its original color?? thanks!!!
Its not just a spot on the skirt so a tide to go pen wouldnt really work, its the WHOLE thing =(

I would use oxy clean to get it back to white. So treat it with the OxyClean and then launder it by itself.

Then take it and instead of putting it in the dryer lay it flat in the sun, let one side be up for a while and then let the other side be up. Believe it or not, the sun will bleach out a great many things, though, if there is a high nylon content it can yellow so, check the label.

Is it ok to use a cotton top? What fabric goes best with velvet?

The possibilities are endless. One thing that I would keep in mind though, is that velvet is a dressy fabric. I would pick a top that is just as dressy.

And since the velvet skirt is full length, I would choose to pair it with a short top. If the top doesn't end at the waist, then tuck it in instead of leaving it out.

Think of a waist length satin cross-over tied blouse. In white, or gold, or silver or black. Every colour would give a slightly different look.

Or a lace fitted shirt/blouse. Again different colours would inspire slightly different looks.

Or even a waist length angora sweater. It would give a more casual look, but be dressy as well. White, pink, red, black.
