Girls Cotton Skirt

When girls sit in a tight cotton skirt how can the you sit without wrinkling the front when you lean foward? I see so many skirts with the front wrinkled.

Also why do girls like to hike up their tight skirts and lave them that way? Why not just but them the leingth thaey want to wear them? Bob

Unless it's mostly synthetic, cotton wrinkles at least a little, esp.when tight and bent like when sitting. So unless it's a fabric like jersey, it's almost inevitable.

As for hiking up tight skirts - if they're younger girls, they may have bought the skirts with their mums and gotten them longer, then when they're out of sight, put it up to the length they want to wear it at. =]

Crinkle material, they make it and sell it in most fabric stores.

I have a black skirt, kind of billowy, that comes down to my knees. It is cotton and very nice, and I would like to wear it to a somewhat formal event, but I am unsure about what kind of top to wear with it. I have 200 dollars b-day money to spend on clothes. I am a sort of short 13 year old (girl, duh) and I am basically average weight.
If it helps at all, the skirt I have is very similiar to the black skirt on Yahoo! Avatars under the Branded-Walmart category. Though I did not get it at Walmart.
I want a somewhat colorful outfit, so maybe a light-colored button up shirt? I also might want to wear this to school, so any informal ideas work too.
I just raided my closet. I have a light blue tank and a magenta ribbed tee. Will either of those work?

Also, I have mediteranean skin, as in sort of a light olive. I'm seriously tanned, though, from a week at the beach.

go with a rich color that goes well with your skin tone, with a bit of sparkle or sequins, beading on it. The top should be fitted to your body, not flowy, or you could end up looking like a hippie child. As long as the shirt doesnt reveal too much skin, or stretch across your bust so it looks like its going to pop off, youre good to go. Also, allow enough length and room to conceal belly, think classy, not trashy.

My 12 month old needs some tights to wear with her little fall skirts and dresses. I'm not talking about the thin opaque tights, I'm talking the THICK cotton tights. I like the ones with the cute patterns and such, but Gymboree is so expensive. Where can I get some cute ones for fairly inexpensive? Tried eBay already.

Target and Walmart have them.

Children's Place does too. They are less expensive than Gymboree, more expensive than Walmart.


You could also but on leggings under those dresses for fall and winter. You can find inexpensive leggings at those same places.

Nice choice. Wear it with black pumps and a nice blouse, not the kinds suggested on the web page. A little jewelry perhaps a gold bracelet, small ring like an amethyst, pearl, or other semi-prescious stone. Earrings, no hoops style though, light make-up, etc.
