Cotton Short Skirt

I saw someone last night in a long cotton skirt and dark trainers. I would only wear trainers with a short skirt, think they look horrible with a below the knee skirt. (I normally wear birkenstocks). Anyone else got any views?

Hi, No i think it looks awful, what do some people see when they look in the mirror they must think "Hey Lookin Good" when in fact they look as if they have been to a jumble sale and just put on mis -matched clothing, Sorry............i work in a supermarket and you wouldn't believe some of the clothes people wear.

I need help! I was wondering if there is a solution to using knee long cotton skirts and stockings without having the skirt stick to my legs with every step I make. The skirt gets stuck to the stockings like glue and it ends up looking like I’m wearing shorts! I would appreciate any tricks or ideas to solve the problem other than wearing different fabric skirts. Thanx!!!

Can I wear one to a BBQ and what can I wear as a top to look glamorous and trendy..but casual

Sounds really cute. Also skorts are really in style (like a short skirt in the front but shorts in the back). A cute t shirt with little spegetti straps will be a great topper especially with some lace or rhinestones. Big last year and again this year.At Christmas they were even selling little machines to put rhinestones on just about anything and everything. Put a couple of matching ones on the skirt or skort you choose maybe in the shape of a heart.

Hi all,

I have a relatively form fitting skirt that keeps riding up.

I'm trying to use it as a part of a Halloween costume, but if it keeps riding up the way it does, I'll go from activist to working girl so fast I'll be coming home costumed as a pregnant single mother-to-be.

The dress is black cotton spandex, and as I said it's pretty form fitting so it will show any kind of obvious underwear lining.

Any suggestions?

If it's short...theres nothing you can do about it. Make sure you bring a condom...because short skirts = ????? hmm...i think you know the answer to that. ;)

And why? I love layered or cotton mini skirts that are form fitting and about 2 inches above the knee....I think all skirts are sexy too..

A-line skirts, knee length or shorter, are my fav, often in solid materials like denim. Make me look good, can be worn in all kind of weather, and allow me to do what I want without caring too much.

Of course I like minis, too. They are girlie and cute, in particular pleated and layered. Pleated minis (esp. black ones) were for some years almost my logo. Tight leather minis are extremely sexy, I don't use them if I don't have a strong man by my side.

Pencil skirts? I prefer skirts without slit, hence they cannot be too narrow and/or too long. If I don't have too walk much I sometimes use a quite narrow black leather skirt reaching a few inches below my knees. Tight on my hips and restricting my stride length, but definitely sexy.
