what kind of fabric goes with linen/cotton crinkled skirt, It's black thinner fabric, with a bit of a border on the bottom.
What do you want this other fabric to do? Is it to be underlining or lining? Accent on the skirt? Jacket? Top to go with the skirt? Something else entirely?
Can you please be a bit more specific?

I just bought this cute skirt from Walmart...

Then, one of the first times I wore it, somehow, I'm not even sure how, I got some kind of oil on the front of it...I think it was an Italian salad dressing because that was the only oil I can remember being exposed to that day. Does anyone know of a way to get the oil completely out? I tried rubbing it out with a damp cloth but it seemed to wear the fabric down. I was going to just go and buy anther one, but they are out of stock online! ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! Serious answers only please!
I have gotten oil in many shirts and the best solution by far is using Dawn and working it into the stain with a toothbrush, let is sit and then wash it. No matter what do not dry it until the stain is out or it will set it.

Silly questions, not truly important in the grand scheme of things... but nonetheless...
I have to wonderful skirts that I love :)
one is A line knee length linen, the other is a full below the knee skirt 100% cotton (a bit hippie-esqe)
The problem: I iron them and the second I sit down they get extremely wrinkled and look sloppy? any advice for keeping them wrinkle free (besides NOT sitting all day-come on folks).
Thanks for the help!
fyi. the cotton skirt is white.. don't know if that makes a difference
you know? ....that is how that kind of fabric is.
it is meant to be a casual, carefree, summer kind of look...and the wrinkles are unavoidable, really.
i know what you mean though...i hate having wrinkly clothes!
i have a couple pairs of white linen/cotton pants and it is the worst when you have to sit in the car and drive, lol!
anyways.... there is nothing you can do to prevent wrinkles in that fabric. ...but, everyone knows that that happens with linen!
...try not to worry about it!

i would like to make a skirt like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3ixBbfv9 vE
i know it is a dress but i would like to make it as a skirt.
should i use cotton or linen or what?
thanks
Linen is much more high-quality, but I would prefer cotton for the sake of the sewing. But then again, I'm an amateur sewer. Post this question in Games & Recreation > Crafts and Hobbies. I'm sure you'll get a more professional opinion.
Hope I helped!

For slacks
For skirts
For lingerie...
Just shoot a couple of lines with some ideas, experiences or ethiquettes...

No easy answer to this but I think it would depend on:-
1) Your age
2) The season
3) Your personality

Passage des perles: Linen love
Linen: I'm one who dislikes this buttermilk but only on myself. I am, by nature, a rumpled sort so I take issue with clothes that wrinkle so easily. I think linen looks fantastic on others who manage to look quite polished; on them, the wrinkling looks cool and relaxed. On me, it looks like yet more evidence that I cannot leave the house without looking unkempt. : )
I love linen, altho' the pieces have to be carefully chosen or I experience that "adding rumple to the already rumpled" effect mentioned by other commenters -- for me, I try to avoid cuts/garments that emphasize and encourage mid-section wrinkling -- short and short-waisted, I don't need that! But...
