Cotton Broomstick Skirt

I am looking for a couple of inexpensive (under $20) a-line or broomstick swishy style skirts made from stretch easy wear cotton with an elastic waist. I want the skirt to fall below my knees and I am really short (only about 5 feet tall.) I want them in plain wear with anything colors like tan or brown or even black. I have a 6 month old so they need to be machine wash and wear.

I have a black cotton Broomstick skirt, and a black t-shirt, would this be a cute outfit just to wear casually at school, at home, or just around?

but I can't afford to buy new clothes right now. Can I compromise with my old clothes so that what I wear still looks classy? I have a lot of printed skirts, cotton tops and some blue jeans.I have a black skirt that I haven't worn yet which is the broomstick type skirt with recently came back in style. I don't know what top to wear with it. Can someone please help me?

cotton tops + jeans are what people wear everyday anyways... so no need to really worry about ur clothing.

however, are the jeans skinny jeans? cuz skinny jeans are popular right now. Also, plain white/black tops look classy with printed skirts. As to the skirt, since that skirt flares out, something tight would go well on top. If the skirt is printed, wear plain tops =)

I have just bought some clothes with the new fashion of crinkled fabric. the fabrics include silk, cotton and polyester and a very fine see-through cotton. The instructions say to use the broomstick method of washing to ensure that the clothes remain crinkled. Can anyone who has successfully washed these types of crinkle clothes (skirts, blouses) give me some advice on do's and don'ts before I attempt to crinkle wash the clothes?

Wash by hand with some Woolite or dishwashing detergent in lukewarm to cool water. Rinse thoroughly. Place on a towel, roll the towel to get most of the water out. The secret to keeping the crinkle is then to twist the fabric but do not stretch the fabric (sort of like wringing it) then let it dry in that shape, put rubber bands or tie with strips of cloth. Once it is dry, take off ties, shake out and, Voila, it is clean, crinkled and ready to wear again! Used this method with a velveteen crinkle skirt.
