Black Cotton Pencil Skirt

I really love pencil skirts (not the ones that go to your knees, the ones that are short lol) but I have no idea where to get one! I also want either a short sleeved white shirt or thick strapped white tank top to go with it. Any idea where I can get either of those items???

The place where I got mine was Charlotte Russe. They had several. I suggest going to your local mall and browisng through the stores. It took some time but my pencil skirt looks really cute. Another place you could try is lulus.com. Or go to google and type in short black pencil skirts. The white tops can just be found in any basic store they are easier to find then the pencil skirts.

I have grey and black and white and denim pencil skirts that are like.. jean material, and i have to wear leggings under.
But its HOT outside!
So i have white and grey and black cotton skirts i can wear.

(my dress code is 100% skirts only)
also, which shoes? (that i can wear whatever)

with collar?

I know some of you might say there's a lot to pair with it, like beige slacks or pencil cut skirt but I want to look really decent and respectable wearing it. So, could you tell me what color and what kind of bottoms you would pair with this? What shoes? What accessories?

A grey skirt would look nice. Grey tweed even better. Black sling back shoes. A diamond pendant would be classy for jewelry, but more modern would be black and whitle longer beaded necklace. Smaller beads would be dressier.

I'm going to a job interview at the PNE on the 3rd, (Summer Fair type place). I'm confused what to wear, the interviewers email said "Remember to dress appropriately for the interview." What do i wear? I look awful in black pants, i don't own a blouse. I've a black pencil high waisted skirt i brought from american apparel awhile ago, except its made of cotton.. What do i wear?
Forgot to mention, its a group interview and we'll be doing tasks.

whenever people say appropriately i think church. So if you go to church, those clothes will do..?? But if not, then springing for a good blouse and skirt (or find black pants you like) will benefit you. Say you dont get the job, but theres another interview youre interested in somewhere else. You already have the clothing for it.
Buuut... if you dont want to spend a big chunk of money on one outfit, go to ross or old navy. There are stores out there that have acceptable clothes for cheap prices.
For the interview, maybe do natural makeup and for hair, something formal like a bun.

I recently received a casual black knee-length pencil skirt. I am wondering what I could wear with it that wouldn't look too dressy but nice and sophisticated. It is made of rayon and cotton, if that helps any. I'm wondering more of what type of shirts rather than colors 'cuz almost everything works with black. Also... I have an awesome hat that is mostly dark and light blue but has red, light green, and white in it too. It has stripes. Again, what type of shirt? Probably a light green one but I don't want just a plain shirt. Hmmm... help? Any ideas? The hat is for anywhere but the skirt is for school. (We have a dress code)

I would definetly wear a button up type dress shirt. Maybe just plain white (sexy secretary!!) or something bright, but with a pencil skirt you want your shirt to be tucked it, which is why I would only wear a fitted button up shirt.
