I'm trying to find a really soft, high thread count white organic cotton fabric to make a crib set (preferably not made in China).
None of the fabric stores I've visited have nice quality fabric, so I was hoping to find an online resource.
Here are a couple of sources; there are many others:

Its an unpasteurised organic brand I opened over a month ago but have left unrefridgerated. Cider vinegar tastes a little more acidic but ok. is it safe for consumption or should I throw itaway? I live in the tropics where temperatures are pretty high.

We are a small business who hand dye clothing and accessories and are looking for certified organic, sweatshop free, white 100% cotton hoodies in child and adult sizes.
If you're also looking for pesticide and herbicide-free cotton, you've got a long search. And it won't be cheap.
Cotton is a very demanding crop to grow. It's vulnerable to various pests and diseases, and it takes a lot of nutrients out of the soil. Growing cotton takes a lot of energy, so the carbon footprint is usually heavy.

I'd like to dye some organic woven cotton fabric to achieve shades of seafoam green and pastel green (aka baby blanket mint green) ,.
Any clue on how to achieve this? I was cleaning out my copper wand with a white cotton cloth and it turned blue-green. So it's gotta be possible.
No chemicals please: unfortunately I'm deathly allergic to that. =(
Thanks for your input with links if possible.
um -- you can't possibly do this without chemicals! Copper is a chemical, and you need to oxidize it to make the copper turn a green, so you can't avoid it. The whole world is made of chemicals.. even you are .. so I don't understand a remark like "I'm deathly allergic" to chemicals. That's just oxymoronic.
But look here how to get the cupric liquid for the dye: http://danceswithwool.wordpress.com/2008 /06/02/wool-dyeing-copper-penny-blue/ but these directions are for wool. Wool is a protein fibre, while cotton is plant material. It is possible to use it on cotton and linen, but it requires the use of more chemicals. See http://www.geocities.com/anne_liese_w/Dy eing/dyemordants.htm (part way down the page), but you can't make it from plain copper. You can try the ammonia-copper mixture and see if it works on cotton. Try a small piece of fabric first to see what result you get.

COLUMN: Cotton has colorful history
I realized my brother had been away from the South too long as I drove him to our grandmother’s from the airport one Thanksgiving.
After he made several snide remarks about all the trash on the highway, I laughed and explained it was the cotton that had blown off the trucks as they carried it to the gins.
As I drive past Pee Dee fields once again this time of year, it reminds me of a hard snowfall.
Everything is gleaming white for just a little while, and it softens the harsh contrast of evergreens and changing fall leaves.
I recently came across an old book called “Palmetto Lyrics” that contained the appropriate poem, “The Legend of the Cotton Plant.”
