I just bought a few organic cotton items and they're all very rough and scratchy to the touch. I got some bedsheets & napkins. The handkerchief is flannel and very soft and so is the tank top. But all woven cotton ended up really UGH! The napkin is rough on my raw lips it hurts. (My lips are chapped and peel so...)
What do I need to do without chemicals to make the cotton soft? (I can't use regular detergent, I have severe chemical sensitivities, it's awful!) --NO FABRIC SOFTENER, PLEASE-- Sorry for caps, that stuff makes me vomit, I kid you not, I can't be near that I might as well live with rought & scratchy.
What is enzyme wash? Do I just open a digestive enzymes capsule and add it to some water and launder like that? Will the enzymes "eat up" or digest the rough stuff?
Or will the cotton naturally soften after several washes? I use Dr. Bronner's soap to do my laundry due that I can't use even 7th Generation detergent is loaded with toxic chemicals, UGH!
Thanks for any suggestions! :0)
try using vinegar in the rinse water. and it will soften the more it's washed.

There's this country club and they have a party like twice a year. It's just kids and it's sorta like bar mitzvah attire. I went to the one in the fall and I wore this dress:

Except the dress I wore had tank top sleeves and was cinched at the bust, like a babydoll top.
So the spring one is coming up in March and I'm looking for a dress to wear. Preferably not too expensive. I really like the style of the dress above. People wear short bubble tank dresses to this dance, sorta like this one:

I like that one a lot, but I would like other options as well. So a bubble tank dress sorta like that? Links please?
Thanks so much!

I bought some Java Fern Moss stuff from Ebay in September. I attached it to some bogwood like the instructions say, with organic cotton. It says that the fern needs little attention and will survive with regular plant food, any water conditions, and a normal amount of light - so pretty much the same as any plant.
I have plants in my tank that i've had in for nearly 2 years now, and they still alive. Yet this fern has gone brown and is dieing slowly progressively since early November. It is now mid January.
So what have I done wrong to let this plant die? I have followed all instructions properly, but it is still death.
Thanks for the answers!!!

:D i know there are like fifty different posts of these already but many of them aren't my style and i wanted to know a cute outfit? i like a lot the boyish style with a feminine touch or the natural organic girlyish type.i also like looking polished. so a little bit of preppy is good. :D
PLEASE nothing mainstream like abercrombie or hollister. and for me price is a super super consideration.
i shop at marshalls, target, tj maxx, sometimes wet seal, charlotte russe for jewelry, and other random vintage stores.
i was thinking a red button up cotton romper on top of a tank w/ a plaid flannel shirt openly layered on top and black/gray denim flats.
any other ideas?
well appreciated thanks!
nothing alternative please. :)

My poor Betta. When it rains it pours. He had some kind of unknown illness before this (believed to be fish pox) and now that it is almost gone he has that white cotton fungus stuff.
Along with the cottony stuff there are a few patches of his scales that are a bit light in color (not quite white)and he is a bit lethargic. He is eating normally, but he just sits near the top of his tank.
I have him in a 2 gallon (waiting for him to get better so I can move him to a 5 gallon) and I treated him with Rid•Fungus. I increased his salt again, and I put in a stronger bulb to up the temp a bit (its at about 82, up from 77-78).
Is there anything else to do for him? This Rid•Fungus stuff is organic, but I couldnt find anything stronger. Any suggestions?
It sounds like columnaris to me. It's a bacterial infection, so rid-fungus probably won't do anything for him. Columnaris loves high temperatures, so back it down to 76.
A little salt in the water might help, along with Maracyn 2.
Honestly, I've had no luck treating this disease, despite careful treatment and water changes.
I hope you have better luck than me.

&Nbsp; tonight we did some indoor photos. night came more quickly than usual...well at least it felt that way. jill took these photos of me on the stairs and we had a lot of fun acting out some scenes. this last photo is the "opps i dropped my bag." the good times are endless. today's ofice ensemble left much to be desired. yes, my friends, every now and then i have a morning with little to no inspiration. so i decided to take photos of the outfit i wore tonight. a comfy cotton tank, slouchy cardigan and boyfriend jeans got a bit of a funky edge with a vintage scarf, wedges and my new vintage straw clutch. another of my sister's...
