nd the shorts on top of that. Do you think the coache would understand if my mom talked to her?
Plus how long r the skirts? They can't b higher then 2 inches for me. No more then 2 inches.

I'm not a cheerleader, but i'm sure if your mom talks to the coach it should be fine.

Help deciding on a changing pad for baby!?
Geometric Chickens - 100 Percent Organic Cotton - By Karl Addison - 6005 Crew T-Shirt - Unisex

I was looking at the Serta Organic Contour Pad from Babies R Us for $29.99
This changing pad has a phthalate-free vinyl cover. The interior is 85% polyester and 15% organic cotton. These fibers are compatible to pass the requirements for TB 133 flammability testing which is authorized by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The vinyl used is not made out of PVC vinyl. The contour sides are nice. I would never leave my baby unattended, but I like the idea that the baby can't slide off as easy since I don't have an actual changing table (I'm short on space so I got a dresser/changing station combo and it doesn't come with guard rails) This pad also has straps with screws to secure it into the dresser.

However, I read some reviews. Most are positive, but some people are complaining because it's not 100% organic- it's just 15% organic. Also, a few people complained that the quality of the changing pad wasn't great; apparently, the seams were coming undone after a month or 2. However, it seems that the people who used changing pad covers did not have this problem at all and I intend on using changing pad covers.

My main concern is the baby's skin getting irritated. I have super sensitive skin and both my husband and I have eczema. I am worried my baby will have sensitive skin and eczema so I was wondering if organic is better or if this changing pad sounds good to you guys...have any of you purchased this item? Also, what are some tips when buying??

Thanks so much! =)

Honestly, I wouldnt buy a changing pad. I never use one. I lay my son on a blanket or towel either on a bed, crib or floor. Whatever is handy and near by

Cheerleaders Plz Answer!?
Geometric Chickens - 100 Percent Organic Cotton - By Karl Addison - 6005 Crew T-Shirt - Unisex

Hii, I really want to join cheerleading, but the thing is I can't wear really short shorts cuz of my religion and long soccer/basket ball shorts would look weird at practice. So I was wondering if i could wear these:
http://www.ethicalsuperstore.com/product s/gossypium/fair-trade-organic-cotton-kn ee-length-leggings---black/
and then these over those:

Do you think the coach would let me? If my mom talked to her?
Oh plus for the games.. I can wear the skirts if there maximum one inch above the knee length, im in 7th grade.

yeah you could wear those, haha you could probably even wear knee length pants as long as your not tumbling or stunting. well good luck with cheerleading, its so much fun!!

What should I layer this shirt with?
Geometric Chickens - 100 Percent Organic Cotton - By Karl Addison - 6005 Crew T-Shirt - Unisex

I bought this shirt, the organic cotton style, but I want to wear it now (and it's cold here!). I seldom layer short-sleeved shirts over stuff. Can I wear it over a black long-sleeved shirt (since it has black writing), or would it look better over a natural colored thermal shirt? I guess I could wear a black hoodie jacket over it unzipped instead of layering it over something, but I like the layering idea better...

wear a green or red or black longsleeve underneath

So apparently I need to find a new "style"...?
Geometric Chickens - 100 Percent Organic Cotton - By Karl Addison - 6005 Crew T-Shirt - Unisex

Recently, I have been told that although I'm pretty good looking (not model status, but slightly above average), I still have more potential and that I need to become more fashionable--and yes, I've been told by one of my guy friends (no homo) who's apparently extremely frustrated about how I dress...

I dress casually--too casually--skate t's, mostly shorts that probably look kiddy (but they fit fine), and jeans here and there--I don't see what the point is in spending more than 15 dollars on a tshirt or anything in general

But what can I do? Apparently girls think I need to become fashionable too but I don't want clothes to define me--i want to define myself by being myself... I wouldn't mind trying to try something new, but I've tried on v-necks and all that organic cotton indie crap and it does NOT look good on me at all (mainly because I'm pretty scrawny) lol

Why change style?
You need to be happy with who you are.
If people don't accept you for who you are then it's none of their business.
Beauty is not material but it's inside.
A style is just the side of people that judge the book by its cover.
Just be who you are and don't mind other.

  • Eco Yogini: Roots; a Canadian Eco-Option

Although I don't *need* any more yoga clothing, I'm always on the lookout for viable alternatives to Lulu. I do enjoy 'Karma' and 'Tonic' as they are Canadian made and have some sustainable fabrics, currently in Halifax they are hard to come by and a bit pricey. ( Bhavana Yoga Lifestyle carries them- in the city? you should totally check out the fab space!). While at the Canadian Pavilian at Disney World, I was a bit taken aback that all merchandise was Roots (including weird raccoon tail hats... Davey Crocket style- wasn't he American?).  There may be some stereotypical 'Canadian' aspects to our culture (ahem, I got a lot of comments on my polite 'pardon?' while bartending, and our accent...
