Okay so I've seen these cotton commercials with really pretty dresses! But I don't know where to find them... Is there an actual cotton store that sells the stuff they show in the commercial? Plus Ive been trying my whole life to be echo friendly but I always fail lol is there any organic clothing stores I can find in so. cal<333
No, there is not a "Cotton" store. Those commercials are simply advertizing cotton as a fiber. It isn`t a clothing line. Those are just random dresses (that are very pretty) that are made out of cotten used for the commercial. If you want to be more eco friendly and also but cute stuff, shop at places like Delia`s! They have great clothes and shoes that is all organic and recycled!
Hope this helped! Return the favor? :) My question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index? qid=20091114073422AAer32P&r=w

can anyone else relate to me on this...
i just saw the commercial about the new sony ORGANIC high def tv. honestly, are you kidding me? a tv is in NO WAY, SHAPE or FORM organic. It never will be, it is the complete and udder opposite. I am all down for being organic and being green, I do as much as I can plus some. However, it is becoming almost like a trend, and its obnoxious. Like the t-shirts that are all about recycling and being green, but from target? yeah i'm sure that those are made by hand with organic cotton or whatever. This is ridiculous. People should be green if they want to be, i think its good that it is being stressed but it has now become a trend and the TV just TOPPED it off for me...
please relate with me.
i hope organic hippie that you are agreeing with me, because i am the furthest thing from a naive tv watching fool...
trust me
Honestly dont be such a fool! Poorly tested chemicals are put into your clothes shampoo carpet cleaner and toothpaste. If you think the chemicals they put into your tv are completely safe then you are a naive little man!
If people weren't worried about the potentially harmful chemicals companies are putting into their goods THEN THEY WOULDN'T MAKE STUFF LIKE THAT.
On top of that the chemicals that these plants use end up in our water and pollute our skys. Don't believe me?! I got this from a goverment website.
I'll say this again, dont be such a tv-brainwashed naive fool!
Edit-If it is USDA organic then it is organic. Period. There are alternatives to chemicals for everything. If a television is organic then they are using organic circuitry and natural materials rather then the poorly tested chemicals companies try to rush into our products and is probably also reflected in the price. I do not think that this is over the top at all, infact I thank god that we are beginning to revert back to our much safer natural ways. Being organic is not a trend it should be (the only) way of life. Like I said these factories dump chemical waste into our waters. If you really want to do as much as you can then try to influence these companies into safer practices by avoiding the products that are poisoning our people and destroying our world! I will have to say no I cannot relate to you on this.

American Apparel doesn't use sweatshops to make their stuff, but their largest sizes are tiny and supermodel-esque.
In Canada, Cotton Ginny sells organic and ethically-made clothing in realistic women's sizes, but the company seems to be in trouble and is closing most of its stores.
I need to know the names of some other brands that have ethical practices and that make women's clothes in larger sizes.

Pima, Egyptian, Organic or Regular(?)
Plus what's the differences between them?
I'm hoping to better understand the slight differences and advantages.
thanks!!
Egyptian is the best, cuz it is very soft as silk and bright as milk. the organic is much tougher and it shrinks when washed many times.
I ordered an organic cotton tee shirt with a picture of a Pit Bull on it and the caption "Pit Bull Soul" from the website www.Cafepress.com. They have a bunch of customized shirts there and what not, but anyways I ordered a Men's small on Sunday. I payed 5 bucks for standard 2-5 day shipping. I live outside of NYC so it didnt take too long to receive. Got the tee today (Thursday). When I put it on I realized that it was just too tight. The sleeves were generally small and the neck are was kinda tight. I'm 15 so plus I'm still growing and it would probably shrink in the wash. So anyways I emailed customer support right away because I know they have a money back guarantee for 30 days. I just wanted to exchange it for a Men's medium, so I asked how I should send the package back. They responded only 4 hours later telling me they had just immediately placed a brand new order in the size I wanted. They said they didnt want me to have to pay for shipping again, and to keep both shirts.
I responded back telling me how great their Customer service was and told them I would tell people about the site. Im just following up on my promise, lol.
yea i gave the two top contributers thumbs up, good answers u two
Nice. It's good to see that there are still people out there who care if their customers come back. No advertising is as profitable (or more devastating) for a business as word of mouth. If they had treated you badly, and you told people on this site, they could have potentially lost hundreds of customers. Instead, they have potentially won hundreds of customers.
By the way, good for you for keeping your promise, even though noone would have known if you hadn't. (Except you and God). It's also nice to see someone with integrity.
