Where can I buy Organic Cotton filling for stuffed animals?

I've searched Google and didn't really come up with much. Thanks!
Good points. So maybe I could use clean, recycled denim? I want it to be healthy for small children, of course.

Organic cotton is free of chemicals but still uses loads of water (about 22 tons of water for 3 lbs of organic cotton when irrigated).
Best green solution would be to use unwanted clothes that could be shredded for stuffing the animals. They will have been washed many times so all the chemicals on the garments should have been washed off.

who knows if wool filled crib bumpers is safe for the baby?

I'm getting an organic crib set, and i would like to know if a new born would be allergic to a wool filled bumper and covered with organic cotton fabric
Thank you to all of you, I didn't realize that bumpers in general are bad untill i read your comments and did research.

I would not use them. I personally have read and would prefer using mesh bumpers or none at all. A newborn won't bump into the crib bars as long as you're using a sleeping positioner.

Sudden change in diet - is this making me ill?

I saw a question answered where a person was a very healthy eater and then suddenly went on a fast food binge. I am the opposite. Three weeks ago I quit fast food overnight. Now, I haven't gone from fast food to all natural, organic food - even though that is my eventual goal - but I have been eating at home, sandwiches and stuff, as well as out with my friends at restaurants where I try to make healthy choices. I ate fast food at least once a day and sometimes two times a day for nearly four years. I was definitely addicted. Now, my body is rebelling, I think. I had constant heartburn for about a week after quitting (though it may have been caused by stress) and now I am seriously ill with a sore throat that my mom had - but hers lasted only one day and she did not have a high grade fever. My fever has peaked at 102.6. I can't sleep more than three or so hours at a time and when I do I toss and turn, going from hot to cold. My head feels like it is filled with cotton. My throat is very inflamed. I am going to the doctor this morning and will ask him the same question, but I want to know if a sudden change in my diet - even for the better - can cause all this weakness and sickness. Thanks for your help.

You could have contacted a virus from food poisoning when you went out to eat, salmonella a fairly common type of food poison.
Doen't always matter what healthy food choices you make, most packages and processed foods these come from the local super markets and grocery stores, stored in stores refrigeration units, so we have not a lot of choice where to buy your food.
The way restaurants keep their kitchens is not always 100% up to standard, some restaurants are so bad if you got the board of health inspectors on to them, they have to be closed down.

Anyone know what the cloudy substance is that's occurred from my attempt at making some pickles?

I took a stab at making my own Jewish dill (deli type) pickles. Unfortunately I didn't have any fresh dill to use so I used dill seeds, dill weed, salt, garlic and some coriander seeds.

Another fact is that I didn't fill the jar completely to the top and leave it sealed. I have opened it each day because in my turning the jar upside down to mix the ingredients I had a little leakage each time.

The concern I have is about the cloudy substance that's developing after a few days now. It has a "cotton-like" appearance and is obviously an organic formation of some kind.

The question(s) are:
1. Is this a normal part of a fermentation
process?
2. What is it?
3. Or is the brine going bad?..(spoiling?(made
the "pickles" non-consumable?).
4. If so, what did I do wrong?
I also used iodized salt which I have since learned was a mistake. I don't know if that has any effect on causing these cloudy, cotton-like clusters which are forming in the brine.

I don't believe you did anything wrong, perhaps the salt and garlic just didn't dissolve, therefore making a cloudy substance after a few days, I think it's just setteling. I don't think they have gone bad. Good luck!

Oh, the iodized salt is probably what made this happen, but since it's in vinegar, I thinks it's still okay, it might just taste a little funky.
