I've noticed some places like Pottery Barn, but I like soft sheets so I was hoping for a higher thread count like 400 and higher. I live in Nevada but also go to Cali and Oregon often...
P.S. I've just started going Green this year, and little by little am trying to make a difference, I know organic cotton is much genetler on the earth than growing conventional cotton!

I really want to use organic materials around our baby, but I'm a huge fan of bold colors. The two don't seem to mix. Has anyone found a place to buy a crib bedding set (sheets, bumpers, etc.) that have bold colors?

My sister got period blood on my bed (I know it's gross, that's why i want to wash it out) so how can I clean that? I don't know if it makes a difference but my bed sheets are 100% organic cotton. My bed sheets are brown..so I can't bleach it or anything.. any suggestions??

Try some hydrogen peroxide directly to the stains. Soak in cold water, keep pouring peroxide directly on the stains until gone...

I have organic cotton bedding from West Elm that is undyed (and a slightly off-white color). Today, color transferred to it from wet red fabric. Can I use bleach on it w/out lightening the cotton unevenly? Will it help?
Yes, you can bleach it, and yes, it may help. You might try a good dose of laundry detergent and some non-chlorine bleach as a first resort; you can rewash in chlorine bleach if it doesn't work.
If at all possible, do not allow the fabric to dry before trying to get the red out -- drying tends to set many stains.
Most that we can find at a reasonable price are only organic cotton and poly filled. We really want a set or piece together one thats completely organic. Any ideas?

Organic Mattresses providing bedding for new Rethink development
LOS ANGELES — Organic Mattresses has been tapped by sustainable real estate developer REthink Development to furnish the Alice Cooper and David Bowie-themed units in a new loft development, which will be open to the public for four weekends.
The showings are a promotion for REthink's completion of Lofts@Cherokee Studios, a former Hollywood recording studio converted into a 12-unit development with living and working space. The project is expected to achieve LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, the first building of its kind on the West Coast to do so.
"This program is a great example of public education and showing average consumers that they have the ability to effect environmental change," said Walt Bader, president and CEO of Organic Mattresses. He said the company is "proud the developers chose OMI to represent all the benefits of organic bedding."
