The only brand that I can find in stores is "Organic Essentials" & the only size available is SUPER HUGE. I don't like them because A) they are unnecessarily large & B) they leave cotton strands/bits everywhere. I need them for acupuncture & I don't think it's cool to leave cotton every place there was a needle on my patients. Obviously I can't use conventional cotton balls because those are an environmental disaster. Anyone know of an organic ball with a strong constitution?
i've used organic essentials from a local store that carries them, and they aren't very large. Also, they've stayed together. Maybe you had bad luck?

I don't know about being any better, but surely they can't be any worse for your skin. The only difference (that I can find) is that the cotton used to manufacture the cotton balls has not been treated with chemicals, such as pesticides or chemical fertilizers. I've never used them before, and the only information I could find was extremely biased towards organic products. But...organic products, such as organic cotton balls, would be free of chemicals that could be harmful to your health and the environment, so in that way, I think they would be better. Also, if you have any sort of sensitivity, the organic cotton would be less irritating to your skin. In terms of price, the ones I could find were generally in the ara of $3.00 for a bag of 100. So compared to $2.50-ish for 100 regular, non-organic cotton balls, there isn't that much difference. I think it would all come down to personal preference, whether you prefer organic or not.

While not environmentally friendly, due to the bleaching process, they are recyclable. Just put them in with paper products.
I only use wash cloths anymore, since the reside from the bleaching process causes me to break out. (It sure is cheaper!) Grab a pack of 12 cotton cloths at WallyWorld for about three bucks. Wash them in whatever load is going at the moment, you don't even notice the extra laundry.

Walmart, Target, etc?
Harry's Farmers Market usually have it. Call them to see if they carry it. You can try Whole foods but they don't have as much things as Harry's.
I was reading the What To Expect the first year, and it said you should use cotton balls instead of wipes on a newborn. I'm all for having a healthy baby, and not using harsh chemicals on my baby (like organic cottons and chlorine free and organic diapers, etc) but cotton balls sound ridiculous to me. It seems like it would take forever and be a big mess if you tried to change a messy diaper like that. Moms, what's your opinion on this?
It is perfectly safe, people have been using wipes for many years now on newborns, use ones for sensitive skin if you are concerned.

Simple home grooming techniques that will give you a healthier and ...
Regularly grooming your dog not only has the added benefit of making him look and smell good; grooming your dog on a regular basis also gives you the opportunity of deepening the bond you have with your pet and for checking his general health.
If you have a puppy, take the time now to help him become accustomed to being groomed. You can do this by simply spending time with your puppy and gently his entire body; examine his tail, paws, ears, and teeth etc. Talk to your puppy in a gentle and positive tone, and have some food treats with you, so as you can reward your puppy for his positive behaviour. If you have an adult dog who is not totally happy with the grooming experience, then go back to the basics, using the plan outlined here.
