I was reading the What To Expect the first year, and it said you should use cotton balls instead of wipes on a newborn. I'm all for having a healthy baby, and not using harsh chemicals on my baby (like organic cottons and chlorine free and organic diapers, etc) but cotton balls sound ridiculous to me. It seems like it would take forever and be a big mess if you tried to change a messy diaper like that. Moms, what's your opinion on this?
It is perfectly safe, people have been using wipes for many years now on newborns, use ones for sensitive skin if you are concerned.

I first began using these on my infants when looking for something more natural and without chemicals. I then began buying them for myself. I keep a bag at each toilet and use them as personal wipes; they contain none of the terribly harmful ingredients that Charmin or others on the market contain and are safe for flushing.
