Girls White Cotton Dress

Ok, I saw this dress just after easter this year at JcPenneys, it was a white eyelet dress with either pink or green underlay fabric that showed through the eyelets. The eyelet pattern was in flower shapes. The dress was cotton and it was toddler/little girls size around 2T-4T. I am trying to find this dress for my flower girls in my wedding, with no luck. Please let me know the brand of this dress if you bought it or if you happen to know of something that looks like it please let me know that too. Thanks.

First La Minor videoclip

Im looking in the US for a just-above-the-knee length, white summer dress to get married in. We are getting hitched on our farm on the Fourth. Any ideas where to find this dress? Think of all those country music videos with the girl in the field..in the white eyelet dress..with brown cowboy boots... Not too expensive (under $150 would be great) Thanks everyone!

100% Cotton Knit

This has happened numerous times... Happened today, actually. I was walking down the sidewalk and a cute girl walks by. As she gets closer, I see that she is wearing a white cotton dress. However, I'm also able to see the bright blue thong she has on underneath.

Now, I'm not complaining... Because it's nice to look at.

But why do you girls do that? Is there a reason, or is it just an honest mistake?

Lights indoors are different then outdoors, so maybe she didn't even know the dress was see through because when she was inside it wasn't. Or she knew it was, and people are going to see her undies regardless so mise as well show them off.

I want a white dress like the one the girl in toby keith's "Rebel child" music video wears. For those who have not seen the video, I want a white, cotton dress, with skinny straps. I am not sure how to describe it. If you have seen the video please help me out.

I am trying to have my daughter a very sweet baby doll type dreess made & would like to use any color blue polka dot material that is good for a fancy dress. Cotton won't work. Can't seem to find it anywhere. I found 3 other colors @ Hobby Lobby but not blue/white. Any suggestions?

They have some nice pieces at discounted prices. You can also look at www.fabricclub.com. You mentioned chiffon, organza, etc...but you did not mention what type of material your were looking for...all of the above fabric types come in different fibers---for instance: there's polyester chiffon, silk, and blends.

If you're going to the trouble and expense to have something made then you should go for a natural fiber. Along those lines, try www.thaisilks.com---they have various types of silks at wholesale prices but they sell in small quantities to the public. Silk might sound expensive but since you're only making a little girl's dress which doesn't take alot of fabric, it's not too expensive and then it will be something that you can keep and pass down. All natural fibers are easily washable, just hang dry and an overall good choice.

If silk is a definite no-go then try lighter delicate cottons such as batiste, organdy, or lawn, they were favored choices in vintage children's clothing----for these fabrics I don't have a direct link but you can research online under heirloom fabrics. There is a huge market of stores online that cater to the heirloom community(people who make clothing using old fashioned techniques and fabrics) Again you should find a good deal on the small amount that you'll need for a child.

Offline, your resources kind of dry up depending upon what region you're located in. I believe that Joann's fabric is nationwide but I'm not sure about your area. Even if there is a mass fabric retailer in your area they may not have a huge selection.

If you decide not to take my advice and instead want polyester taffeta or satin, you might try your local Walmart for a small selection. They often carry a few colors in poly satin in their fabric section. Rayon is better than polyester but it is still not as good as a natural fiber and sometimes depending on the fabrication it can be as expensive or more than a natural fiber. Hope this helps!
