Cotton Yellow Dress

I tried Shout Gel, which didn't seem to work very well. I'm currently trying OxiClean.

Dr. Pepper should have come out with a normal washing. Good luck with the Oxi- if it doesn't work then your only option is to take it to a dry cleaner. BTW, sometimes, with old t-shirts that my kids have stained like crazy, I'll try washing them in a bleach load- even if they're colored. My reasoning is that they wont be wearing it in public again anyway so why not try. Sometimes it just bleaches the shirt- oh well. But sometimes, it works to remove the tough stains without removing the color. As a last resort- it's an option.

Yes you can! Yellow will take green dye with little trouble as yellow is on of the two colours that make up green. Use any store bought dye, follow the instructions carefully and you should be successful. The green might be a bit brighter because of the yellow, but overall you should be successful.

It is a baptism dress with ribbon and turned yellow from being in the bag for 10 years. It was dry cleaned 10 yrs ago and now yellowed in the collar.

I am buying a casual, light-yellow strapless cotton dress. I got it for this spring. It buttons down the front with a cinched waist and pockets on the side. But, I don't know what kinda of shoes to where with it or what color. Also if you have any ideas on accessories that would help a lot. Thank you!

Flats or wedges. Make sure they are not black because you'll look like a bee. O_o Maybe get yellow shoes to match or even gold. A light pink, blue or orange will look alright as well. Accessories - i personally like the big flower hair clips and you can choose which ever color you like. Also, I think if you're gonna get accessories, mix and match between the color of the dress and the color of the shoes. Then use a complimentary or opposite color for makeup. Good luck!

Think it is cotton/lace. May have rayon in it. Dress is lined too - we think the lining may be nylon.

very tricky!! try to find a dye remover at the store, but read the box carefully; sometimes fabric blends are hard to deal with when trying to remove the dye; but DO NOT bleach it!! a dye remover is best..if all else fails, call a local dry cleaner just to get their opinion...good luck!!
