Cotton Tube Dress

I have a ruched top empire line tube cotton tube knee length dress. Mainly orange with flowery prints (pink,yellow,green) around the hem.

Can i pair that with a champagne gold three quarter sleeved bolero? I will be wearing closed toed 3 inch heels heels with a hint of gold on the ribbon and mainly nude coloured cloth fabric.

I was wondering if the gold and orange seem too loud but this will be for a dinner function after work.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

you could try wearing white.
it will match, and wont overpower the rest of the colors.

Hi. I just purchased this solid cotton tube dress. It has no details and it's like 100% cotton. It's a light pink, but I just want it a little little bit lighter. How can I do this? Will I need fabric dye?

Is it like 100% cotton -- meaning it looks or feels like it -- or is it really 100% cotton? That's important here. If it is really all cotton, you can bleach it. Be very careful, of course. Mix a tiny bit of bleach ( 2 or 3 tablespoons in a whole washload) into the washer and run it through. Be sure to run the water into the washer, add the bleach, let it mix throroughly, and THEN add the dress. Otherwise, you might get spots that will never come out.

Bleach is safe and predictable to use, IF you are careful with it. Use very little. Wear gloves. Take off any sterling jewelry. Mix the bleach evenly into the water before adding your clothes. These are simple precatutions, not hard to follow, but will make all the difference in the world when handling bleach.

Good call, I am looking at David's Bridal now.....I have not made it through their decorating on the dress page. It looks like where I want it!

I was recently at a department store, and saw another girl wearing a cute simple tube dress. The top was stretchy, and it hit right about the knees. It was probably cotton or some sort of cotton mix. I've looked everywhere for these things, even in the swimsuit departments. Does anyone know where I can find these?

Victorias Secret has one that I just bought....they have it in 3 lengths, and I like the one that hits just below the knee..but they have a shorter version as well.
