i really like that dress but its too expensive and i think it will make me look old.

knee length, cotton dresses that i can layer with a crew/scoop neck tshirt are preferred. also i dont want to wear it just for grad, i want to use it in high school too. ive looked at macys and other stores but they look very night-ish and very prom, lol.

that might be an okay dress for other occasions...for graduation, not so much. if you're willing to splurge, nordstrom usually has a nice selection of dresses that aren't too casual and aren't too formal either.

you should look for a simple dress that's knee length or longer. if you wear something a little bit bolder (for ex, a bunch of ruffles) you might regret it looking back. (also you don't wanna look $lutty, thats why you should be mindful about the length.)

i guess your best bet would be to look in the sale section of macy's, that's where i got my elementary school graduation dress. forever 21 also has a huge selection of dresses, so you might wanna look there.

but seriously, be real. look for reasonable prices 'cause you're probably only going to wear whatever it is once because by the time you reach high school, you'll have grown a lot. don't be afraid to look in the "sale" section for stuff, sometimes it can surprise you.

*also its a good idea to go to a store instead of buying something online because it might not fit as well as you thought it would.

I am extremely picky about my clothes and would like to wash them while keeping them brand new looking for as long as possible. Is doing something like washing one white cotton tshirt by itself very rough on the fabric? The girl who was doing my laundry left me and I doubt she'll be giving me any pointers. In the army we would just take the whole laundry bag and stuff it in the washer and toss in an e-z wash sheet or two, so I never learned anything about fine laundering. Any other tips from my well dressed OCD type people? I understand that washing one shirt at a time isnt very environmentally friendly and Im not trying to make a habit of it. Thanks for your help

It shouldn't hurt it. If your really that picky try Woolite. =)

I have an interview today at the Wagamama noodle bar chain. The uniform for servers is a tshirt and I beleive black pants. I do not want to over dress. My mother suggested white dress pants since it is summer. I thought I would wear a cotton collared shirt in dark blue and maybe some heeled sandals. Or should I wear black pants and a white dress shirt? I think the first outfit may leave more of an impression and make me stand out. Any advice is appreciated!

Go with your gut instinct. White tea-shirt black pants.

Going to Sea World San Antonio next weekend. I want to wear a knee length cotton dress that is light and airy with sandals.

Is that a good idea or should I wear shorts and a tshirt??
