Cotton Spring Dress

I have a blue cotton button up dress shirt, which has a light streak of paint on the back that I would really like to remove. Particularly, since it happened on the first day I wore the shirt.

It's a light, white paint, thin streak. Any suggestions, especially ones that spring from similar experience, would be appreciated tremendously. thanks

Depending on the paint base you might try getting a small can of paint thinner from your local hardware store.
Test the thinner on a hidden spot of the shirt to make sure it doesn't remove any of the color in the shirt itself. If it does, stop.
Put several folded white paper towels under the spot. Put a small amount of the thinner on a cotton ball and lightly dab the spot. If it seems to be working, go over the entire spot. As soon as you have removed the entire spot, completley dab out as much of the thinner as possible and apply a small amount of detergent. Rub carefully and rinse thoroughly.
Clean entire shirt as usual.

we have an 8th grade dance at our school coming up.
everyone dresses up really nice.
im not looking for a dress that is like a spring cotton dress.
im looking for something shortish, not long, and not spring dresses.


60 or less if possible.
fyi i looked at windsors and didnt really like anything.

I am buying a casual, light-yellow strapless cotton dress. I got it for this spring. It buttons down the front with a cinched waist and pockets on the side. But, I don't know what kinda of shoes to where with it or what color. Also if you have any ideas on accessories that would help a lot. Thank you!

Flats or wedges. Make sure they are not black because you'll look like a bee. O_o Maybe get yellow shoes to match or even gold. A light pink, blue or orange will look alright as well. Accessories - i personally like the big flower hair clips and you can choose which ever color you like. Also, I think if you're gonna get accessories, mix and match between the color of the dress and the color of the shoes. Then use a complimentary or opposite color for makeup. Good luck!

Pearl edge dress

I am attending a wedding in a week... and am confused if this wedding is supposed to be formal or informal attire. The invitation says nothing about attire or if it's an adult only reception.
The wedding is on a Friday, but the cermony starts at 6pm.
The invitation is embossed, but the address is handwritten in print
The cermony and reception are in the same place.
I am wearing a dress, but I am worried about being underdressed or overdressed... do I wear a bright floral cotton spring dress? Or do I wear a black silk dress? I have never been to a wedding in which I have been so unclear on what to wear.

Since it is evening, I would stay on the dressier side. The black silk sounds more appropriate than the cotton dress.

I've never been to a homecoming dance, so I don't know what I should wear. I have this really nice dress, it's white with black polka dots, but it's a spring dress made of cotton (I LOVE IT THOUGH :D) so I don't know if I should wear that or not.

some of my friends are just going to wear their band uniforms since the dance will already be 20 minutes in by the time the band gets there from the stadium. but I have someone to impress [;)] so I don't want to wear that.

well the polka dot dress sounds nice, but i personally dont think it would be dressy enough for a homecoming dance. you should wear something out of nice material, but not something as fancy as a prom dress. if you go to some department stores, they will probably have some on display and you can get some ideas from that. oh, and good call on not wanting to wear the band uniform....i dont think its a good idea at all. lol.
