Cotton Flower Girl Dress

My finace is wearing a suit, my bridesmaids cocktail-length dresses, ceremony is in a park at 7PM in June- very quick- 15 minutes or so, reception to follow at my parent's farm

Do I need something fancier or will this look good?

I also thought they'd be able to wear their little outfits again to church or something - whereas if I did super-fancy they'd never be able to wear them again...
jmg- It's cute, but way too traditional for my taste. We are having a pastel-free wedding. It's peacock-themed so everyone will be in peacock/jewel colours.

Yes, may be a bit informal . . . but I think that is okay since it is a brief ceremony. The children will be more comfortable and will appreciate being dressed a bit less formally.

I think they will look adorable.

I am buying my flower girls dresses tomorrow (10 months before the wedding) just wondering, will they discolour like wedding gowns tend to do?

I know its 10 months away, but i couldnt pass up a $20 bargin dress, and they are soo cute. I got a size 3 for my baby girl (15 months, big baby) who will be 2 at the wedding and a size 6 for my eldest daughter (3 nearly 4) who will be 4 nearly 5 at the time of the wedding, but is already in size 5 now.

How should i store them? hang them in the wardrobe, or in a box with some tissue paper?

hey when i got married our flower girl dress was bought in May and the wedding was in Dec and we got a garment bag like the kind you would put a tuxedo (like that the tuxedo store gives you when you rent a tux) in or the type your wedding dress would come in and just hung it up with my wedding dress we got both the same day :D and they came out fine and didnt discolor

Edit:: i forgot to add that her dress was diamond white it was an exact replica of my wedding dress except hers was tea length and mine was well it was the length of a typical dress

Two of the main colors I'm using are light purple and white. I'm having an outdoor wedding ceremony, most likely in a garden. My dress (which hasn't been chosen as of yet) will be a white "informal wedding dress". I'm going to ask my MOH to wear a light purple dress of her choosing. (there aren't any other bridesmaids)

We will be having two flower girls. One is the MOH's daughter and the other is my fiance's little cousin. I was thinking of having them wear cotton sundresses. My question is, would it look good to have one in white and the other in light purple? If I told them both to be in light purple I'm thinking the shade of purple for both could wind up slightly different and may look odd in the pictures. If I asked my MOH to have her daughter wear a sundress in the same shade as her dress it and then had my fiance's little cousin in white, I think it might work better. What do you think?

I'm still thinking that your MOH and her daughter will have a hard time finding dresses in matching purple unless they go to a wedding dress shop and order dresses from there what the same colours are used. I think you might be better putting both girls in white and getting matching purple accents....like a ribbon around the waist and flowers in they hair. you can try for the purple dress, but I think it might be difficult.

Ok, I saw this dress just after easter this year at JcPenneys, it was a white eyelet dress with either pink or green underlay fabric that showed through the eyelets. The eyelet pattern was in flower shapes. The dress was cotton and it was toddler/little girls size around 2T-4T. I am trying to find this dress for my flower girls in my wedding, with no luck. Please let me know the brand of this dress if you bought it or if you happen to know of something that looks like it please let me know that too. Thanks.

I like both dresses...but thinking my favorite is the second one...it just has a more mature look to it.

The only problem with the second dress is if you have a larger chest size...it may not look as good with that type of cut. I have the same problem.
