Black Cotton Shirt Dress

i have a wonderful black cotton dress button down long sleve dress top .

but the problem is i have these white cotton linty fibers on it>

how can i get it off???
this is stoping me from weraring my top.

Im thinking about washing it in the washing machine alone hoping the watter will remove the fibers.
and drying it inthe dryer so the lint will come off???

Clean the filter on your washing machine, and make sure you don't wash the shirt after you have washed towels or knits. Turn the shirt inside out and wash on cold with very mild detergent. Dry it by itself (again, not after towels) using a dryer sheet. Then use sticky tape to remove the lint. also might consider a good professional dry cleaner in the future.

My retail/drugstore just got new uniforms; now I have to wear this light blue 65/35 poly/cotton dress shirt. These things get SO linty - last time I washed them with cotton tees and they had a light layer of lint all over them. I'd wash them by themselves but want to conserve blah blah blah - do you think washing them with black dress/work pants would 1) ruin their color (the pants have been washed plenty of times before) or 2) make them linty? How about drying them? Thanks!

Never mix darks and lights no matter what material or how many times they've been washed before. Also, not a good idea to mix pure cottons with poly blends. If you have light colored poly blend sheets, wash your shirts with them. If you mix cottons with polys, that'll cause those awfull little fuzz balls on your sheets and clothing. If you mix dark poly with light poly, you'll still see some dark lint on your lights. It's really important to sort laundry to ge the best results.

Anything goes with black, any color you want, just make sure the tie goes well with your shirt.

Dark purple shirt and black tie or any print tie in purple would look nice.

Don't trust anyone

I swear i'm not a murderer. I had a cut on my finger that rubbed against my brand new shirt, It really ruined my day. Any suggestions? It's mainly white with thin/light grey and black stripes

If you just did it, then run it under cold water so it does not set.
Then before you wash it, get the SpraynWash Dual Power and pretreat the stain, then wash your shirt in cold water. You may have to do this more than once but don't put it in the dryer until you get out the stain otherwise it will be set for life. Hope that helps!

I have a black dress shirt with white collars. What do I use to make the collars black, like the rest of the shirt (100% cotton).

You can buy some fabric dye at a craft store, like Michael's or Hobby Lobby. Just throw it in the wash with the dye and voila!
