Black And White Cotton Dress

I read that RIT color remover might work but was hoping for a concrete answer from someone who actually knows what they are talking about. It's 100% cotton.

I have a black cotton dress and even though I have washed it a couple of times, it has white marks that I think is from deodorant. How can I remove it? Is there any way to prevent it in the future? Do those deodorants that claim to not leave white marks work?

Put white vinegar in a spray bottle and saturate the stains. Let sit 10 minutes and launder as usual.

i have a wonderful black cotton dress button down long sleve dress top .

but the problem is i have these white cotton linty fibers on it>

how can i get it off???
this is stoping me from weraring my top.

Im thinking about washing it in the washing machine alone hoping the watter will remove the fibers.
and drying it inthe dryer so the lint will come off???


HELP ME

Clean the filter on your washing machine, and make sure you don't wash the shirt after you have washed towels or knits. Turn the shirt inside out and wash on cold with very mild detergent. Dry it by itself (again, not after towels) using a dryer sheet. Then use sticky tape to remove the lint. also might consider a good professional dry cleaner in the future.

the dye is from a red pastic belt

it may be impossible.


Rit Dye makes a "dye" like thing that takes out some dyes/stains, but it may effect the black and white.

you could write/call/email the manufacturer of the belt, and ask if they have recommendations.

You can try soaking it in cold or cool water, and changing the water every 3 or 4 hours.
make sure that the water doesn't drain by accident, which may help the red stain to spread.
