unfortunately as iodine is a dye it needs to be treated immediately before it dries otherwise it will stain permanent. If the iodine is still wet make a paste with cornflour and water and spread on to the stain. Change for fresh paste and repeat till stain disappears. Hope this helps...

To remove it try either the Carbona stain devils for spray paint or Mostenbokers Lift off, the one that removes graffiti. You can find Carbona stain devils in the laundry aisle in most discounters and Mostenbokers in the paint aisle at home improvement stores and some discounters.
To hide a stain, you can find iron on, sew on or glue on appliques at fabric stores in a variety of designs to make it look like a purposeful embellishment.

bleach, if it's all whit, Tide, any kind of stain removing spray, & wash in cold water, rinse first in cold water as well. (cold water helps the stain not set in)
Read the tag. if it says "pre shrunk" wash it on warm/cold cycle w/ bleach. if it says handwash only, either handwash it w/ bleach, or put it on the delicate/handwashables cycle w/ bleach.

A Story To Tell: A Gift for Grandma
Kari selected a pale green cotton with tiny white flowers that would look pretty in her grandma’s kitchen. She cut the slit for Grandma’s head across the center of the length of fabric and lovingly sewed rows of tiny stitches to secure the rolled hem around all the raw edges. Hemming the straight sides of the rectangle was easy. When she’d attached little ties on each side of the front and back, her beautiful apron was complete. Kari was elated and proudly showed it off.
Having run out of ideas to keep Kari busy during the remaining days devoted to the apron construction, the teacher allowed her to spend the hours at her desk--as long as she was quiet. Happy to escape the boredom of watching the others sew, Kari created a birthday card that would accompany the apron to her grandmother’s house. She cut some white flowers out of the fabric and glued them on folded dark green construction paper. Inside she copied the words “Happy Birthday” from the birthday list on the classroom wall. She wanted to add “Grandma” to the greeting, but couldn’t spell it and didn’t want to spoil the surprise by telling the teacher who it was for.
