What's the difference between Cotton and sueded cotten on abercrombie polo shirts?

Hi.... recently I bought an abercrombie polo shirt! It's nice but I always see people warring the same shirt but it looks like a different material! It looks more softer and comfortable! I'm just wondering is this the difference between the cotton and sueded cotton shirts??


Sueding is basically like taking a piece of sandpaper over the fabric and losening the fibers so it creates a fuzzy surface. Abercrombie suedes almost all of their garments to make them feel broken-in and cozy. However, a lot of sueding is done by hand and anything done by hand is variable, meaning not every one will be the same. So your shirt and the other peoples' shirts are both cotton, but theirs may have been sueded more than yours was. Next time just feel all of the shirts to get the sofest one before buying!

How do you remove blood from a sueded cotton t-shirt?

It's only on one side of the fabric, not soaked through, and it is dried.

How old is the stain? best thing to try is cold salt water, just sponge the stain with it without rubbing, let it sit and do again, (salt water is the best thing for getting blood out of everything) keep doing this till the stain goes, DONT try any chemical stain removers or use heated water. Just keep sponging with cold salt water let it dry then do it again till its gone, if this doesnt work, i dotn fancy your chances of getting it out. (us girls know this stuff cos we have to deal with periods)

What does this mean? 100% Sueded Cotton Twill?

It is used to describe the outer material of a jacket I'm looking at on ebay - is this material of good quality, what does it feel like/texture? What would the general care instructions be for this material - machine washable?

It is cotton material where the surface has been "roughed up". A comparable material would be waleless corduroy.

As far as washing, I would ask the seller.

Snapple Stain on "sueded cotton"?

Well I was drinking snapple and a friend made me laugh and cough it out. I got a few spots on my beige-whiteish jacket. Well I figured it'd come out if I just washed it, and it didn't. Well after putting it in the dryer I discovered it didn't come out. It's one of my favorite jackets so I really want to get the stains out. Any suggestions?


I used a tide pen, but the stain wasn't put through the washer or dryer. it came out.
