I have paper that is made from 100% cotton! That is really cool cause cotton is natural and biodegradable. Why arent there companies out there that take uses cotton items and turn it into eco friendly paper producs, like copy paper and paper bags and the like? I think someone needs to adopt this idea and start recycling cotton. I just recently threw away about 100 old t-shirts, and felt horrible doing so. Any opinions accepted or ideas would be greatly appreciated :)
There is a company in the US that turns old bluejeans into building insulation. So there are companies out there that do recycle cotton. There is also at least one small "youth business" that reuses old clothing to make tote bags etc.
Keep looking.

I've noticed whenever I wear a shirt that is made out of polyester or anything synthetic like that, the shirt starts smelling of sweat in about one or two days after use. But cotton clothes and I think anything made of natural cloth starts to smell of sweat only after three to six days of use.
Depending on the type of shirt. What could explain this ??? Is there a special reaction between special materials and the sweat ??? What is that reaction and where could I read more about it ???
you sweat less in cotton that you do in synthetic.
cotton allows more air through and allows the flow of heat, whereas synthetic material acts as an insulator, trapping some of the heat your body is producing, and thus you sweat more and can smell it more in the synthetic
btw, you should wash your clothes more often! after one or two uses, the accumulation of bacteria is quite significant, and washing your clothes more often reduces the intensity of the sweaty smell, because there is less bacteria build up.

I wikied another word 'permanent press', which means a fabric that has been chemically processed to resist wrinkles and hold its shape, So, those 'pure-natural' fabric clothes like cotton clothing is not supposed to wash under permanent press settings right?
Heavy Duty means it can hold more stuff. Like instead of 5 towels, you can do 8.
Just means a gentler cycle, you can still do cottons in it.
Hi
I'm very particular about the material of my clothing. I dislike polyester, rayon, modal, acrylic, etc. I really like clothes made (at least 80%) of natural fibers such as cotton, wool, cashmere, silk.
Right now there are only a couple of stores I've found to shop at: Banana Republic, and BCBG notably have good fabrics.
I really wish I could go to Ralph Lauren but I live in Canada and it is not available here.
I'm 20.
Thanks!
Although manmade fabrics have certainly come a long way, almost all stores have clothes that are cotton. Almost all t-shirts are at least 90% cotton (most now have spandex or lycra in it but usually less than 10%). Denim jeans are usually at least 75% cotton. Wool slacks are easy to find, especially in the fall and winter months.
A little lable reading is all that's necessary - I do most of my clothes shopping at Target, Kohls, and JC Penney, and almost all my clothes are natural materials (and I don't even read the labels before hand!).
I don't know if it's just where I shop but I have noticed a trend among women's clothing. It seems the fabric is a mixture of cotton and polyester, the so-called "stretch" jeans/pants/shirts etc. In cold weather I don't mind this mixture but in spring and summer, I cannot wear synthetic fabric as I get very overheated. I always prefer cotton, or somthing like linen.
I even checked men's clothing and I don't see this trend.
Does any know or recommend a brand that uses 100% natural fibers?

Why have we NOT leagalized Hemp as a renewable and sustainable ...
For your information Hemp and Cannabis are of the same genome; However, Hemp can not be smoked (well it can be) but it has only less than one percent of the amount of THC (the chemical that produces the euphoric effects) that Cannabis has . Cannabis is POT. Hemp is a plant with several ecological uses. It IS illegal to grow it . Mostly because it resembles the other SOOOO much that the government would have too many problems keeping people from growing a little of both in the same field and that is a lame excuse for anything. ok first and foremost. iono who taught u ppl this but hemp cannot be smoked. even if u found some way of smoking the dam thing u CANT GET HIGH OFF IT in fact hemp contains cannabinoid which blocks off marijuanas "high" effects. its just these tree, cotton, and pharmaceutical dumbnuts who label hemp as a "drug" because they know the huge benefits of hemp (as listed by cyphercash) and if its in the market it will hurt their industry BADLY so they had the government place a ban on the crop and justify it by comparing it to marijuana then they can become multi billionaires. so basicly it wasnt their "concern" for the public, its just to simply make money, LOTS of it no matter the terrible environmental effects we face today in which im pretty sure they knew about long ago.
