How do i get rid of lint on cotton shirt?
i wore a hoodie on top of my cotton shirt and now these black lint or fluff is all over my white cotton shirt. How do i get rid of them?

Buy a roller lint remover.
Wrap tape , sticky side out, around your hand and pat down the shirt for a quick fix.
You may need to get a 'sweater shaver' to take the pills (balls of lint/fluff) off if the other suggestions don't work.

Why do little specks of lint develop on my cotton clothes?
Rd

I have cotton pants, fairly new. After I washed it, I noticed there are little specks or little pimples of lint all over it, too numerous to pick out. Some of my other cotton clothes are the same way. What causes this? Is it sweat? Is there any way to get rid of them.

Wash them separately and put each cotton item in a laundry bag. Those bags with gauze like material meant for delicate clothings. Don't use the spin cycle. But if you do, don't spin it till it stops.

Is there a way to keep lint off of black 100% cotton twill?
up close and personal

I don't know if there is a solution to my problem. I bought a trendy black trench coat. It's 100% cotton twill. Whenever I wear a light colored sweater under it, the coat is covered in fuzz and lint. As I use a lint brush again & again to clean it off, I begin to wonder if there is an easier solution. Is there a way to treat my coat so it doesn't collect so much lint? I recall owning a pair of black twill pants a long time ago and having the same problem. Is there something I can do besides constantly using the lint brush?

Take it to the dry cleaners and ask them to water proof it for you. That should make it easier to get any lint off and will reduce the amount of lint that builds up. Make sure you ask them for special cleaning instuctions after they water proof it.

You can get a lint roller at a drug store or pet store, which has layers of masking tape sticky-side out. When the roller gets full of lint, you peel the outer layer off to expose another layer of tape.

You can also use a piece of masking tape or duct tape in a pinch. You just make a loop of tape sticky side out, and small enough to wrap around your hand. You then dab the tape onto the fabric to pick up the lint.

Bringing back smells of lint, sweat | Aiken Standard | Aiken, SC

More than 50 years after William Gregg established his mill in Graniteville in 1847, the Duke family invested in the Cooleemee mill to tap into the growing Southern textile industry. Cooleemee became part of a Southwide culture that centered on the textile mill. It's a culture I shared from growing up on the mill villages of Aiken County's Horse Creek Valley. Today, the North Carolina town is the center of an effort to memorialize that culture and celebrate its positive aspects. The mill villages across the South were the magnets that drew a massive immigration of people forsaking annual harvests on their farms for weekly paychecks at the mill. By the time the Cooleemee mill closed, the textile...
