Cotton Wear

I have seen guys wearing them under polo shirts, golf shirts or even formal shirts. Is it OK if I wear them over my shirt, like any other sweater? Or does it look funny? These are thin cotton and grey.

It really depends on what look you are going for. What you describe other people wearing sounds really weird -- and probably just a trend.

The classic look is to wear an undershirt, then a white shirt with a regular collar (or mandarin collar), then a sweater. Then possibly a blazer on top of that -- depends on how cold you are. Men can either wear a tie with the white shirt or not.

Of course, it's possible to wear any color that looks good, and trade the white shirt (dress shirt) for a polo, a t-shirt or whatever. It looks very "preppy" (-:.

If you don't want to look so "young Republican", you could possibly tear holes in the sweater and wear it over a contrasting t-shirt.

Oh, and another way to wear them is to drape it over your shoulders and tie the arms in front of your chest.

I have a field trip in a few weeks to a public swimming pool, and one of the rules is that if you're going to wear a shirt in the pool, it CAN'T be cotton. It has to be the spandex, Under Armor material... Why is that?

you can. its not smart. first, cotton absorbs the water, so it can way you done, and make it harder. another reaason, it take forever to dry, like if you got to a water park. then your stuck wearing them until u change. im not sure about the filter, but filter are there to clean your pool, so it cant be that damaging. and the shirt, if you a girl, dont wear white unless you have a bra. and the reason why is becouse tee shirts sag, they get cought on objects. spandex keep it tight, wont allow it to get caught as easily. and there some other reasons, i cant name them all though.

I run cross country. I went to a running store and they said that non-cotton socks should be worn while running. They didn't go into the reason why. Will I run better if I wear non-cotton socks/no socks?

If in really warm weather, you can sweat a bunch and cotton socks can possibly cause blisters (mainly if socks are lose). I've usually 95% train in cotton socks and will run races in the dri-fit light ones. Not wearing socks may cause blisters, but you may can get away with it. Go with some low cut dri-fit socks is what I'd recommend. Good Luck

It seems that even with deordorant I sweat tons more when wearing cotton t-shirts. Does cotton absorb more? How can I reduce the amount I perspire?

Cotton actually keeps the sweat closer to the skin.
There are numerous materials which pull sweat away from the skin so it evaporates. Cool-max works better and is just ONE of the many other fibers besides a "pure"100% Cotton shirt or socks.

Hey i just bought a cotton hooded jacket with white and brown strips and there is buttons infront too. I have problem matching clothing with it as i dont want to wear it as a jacket and have to button it (Asian country is damn hot) Any suggestion?? or web??

Your jacket sounds really nice - because it's hot where you wear it with a brown camisole (preferably around the same brown color as the stripes in your jacket. A camisole is perfect for 2 reasons:

1. Camisoles are usually very pretty so you would want people to see it and that works with the fact you don't want to button the jacket.

2. Again, since it is overly warm where you are, a camisole is delicate and light.

You can wear the jacket and camisole with jeans or better yet, a pair of light-weight khaki pants or shorts.

I know you'll look great AND be comfortable !!
