What should I line velvet drapes with?
lace cushion cover

I have some 100% cotton velvet fabric that I'd like to make drapes out of. Can anyone tell me what would be the best lining to use?

Because it's cotton, you need to use another cotton to line it. There are good grades of muslin that work very well, and there are cotton sateens that will also work very well. In the end, it depends on your budget. I'd personally go for the cotton sateen if it's in your budget. It gives a little extra luxury to the finished product.
