I'm planning on having my living room sofa re-upholstered. I have heard that I should stay away from 100% cotton material because it will wrinkle. The fabric I am considering is 100% combed cotton. The label says it passed 15,000 rubs, whatever that means. This sofa wil be sat on every day by a dog and a human! Any suggestions? Thanks.
ANYTHING but leather.....leather gets all sweaty after siting on it for a while...i would get like a mix of fabrics...like probably 50% cotton, 50% polyester...or then there is also suede
When measuring fabric for sofa upholstering, be sure to also measure the repeat in the fabric pattern, as this will dictate where the center piece ...
I'm looking for something earthy/tan/beige color with a textural look and feel of linen and hemp, comfort of cotton, but resistant to wrinkle and wear for my sofa cushions.
"Sunbrella" seems to have fantastic fabrics for indoor and even outdoor upholstery but they are a bit expensive though. Just wondering what affordable alternatives are available out there? Any recommendation welcome. Thanks!
Hi! I have a faux suede fair buff upholstery on my couch. It's really easy to clean, I just have to remove it from my couch, throw it in the washing machine, and then put it back on while it's still damp.

About 7 years ago my sister gave me a curtain panel with these leaves attached at the top. I didn't really have a use for it as is (was), but liked the parts - removed the leaves, and the panel became a tablecloth we still use today. The leaves surfaced recently in a materials search, and the idea came together for the bag series. It is very fun, and a challenge, to design & gather the parts for these.
