Cotton Tablecloths

Oxyclean. It's the only thing that works and I've tried everything. Get the Oxyclean that is the powder in a large tub. Add a scoop or two to a large pot of very hot water and let your stained items soak in it overnight. When you wake up the stains will be gone. No scrubbing needed. Oxyclean is amazing. And you can get Oxyclean at any grocery store.

Help - my teen has got apple peel stains on my white cotton tablecloth. This has been soaked and washed but still the horried brown mark remains. Bleaching has not worked, any other ideas?

My daughter once lost her favorite white shirt, by the time we found it it had grown mold. I washed and soaked and bleached. Finally I put it into a plastic washtub with oxyclean and water for three days. It worked!!!

I was wondering if I bought white tablecloths that are 55% cotton and 45% polyester for my wedding reception...could they be dyed to a chocolate brown? They are commercial/restaurant grade Would I have to have a professional do it?

I would be worried they would turn out blotchy or not quite good enough for such a special occasion. having them dyed professionally would be expensive, It's your day your choice.

The greenish speckled staining is mostly on the white part of the cloth, which has a multicolored fruit design around the edge. I've tried Oxyclean, a bleach pen, and several types of detergent.

I like JC's answer. It's what I would do, but I would use white vinegar and baking soda (1 cup of each) in the washing machine also. Any time you have whites that have gone dingy this does a great job of brightening, too.

I have soaked in a mild beach solution overnight and the tape stains are still visible.

You could try a baking soda paste (a little water and baking soda), let "soak" and then lightly rub... hope it helps
