Cotton Sweatshirt

I spilled liquid wax on my boyfriend's cotton sweatshirt and now it's dried on there. Any ideas on how to get it cleaned? I don't think an ordinary wash in the washer is going to do the trick.

well as with all wax stain´s on carpet´s and clothes , Take a brown paper bag or the type of paper you would use to send parcels by post. If there has been a great deal of wax dropped you can take some of with a blunt knife, this will make the next stage a great deal easier for you, So take your paper lay on top of the stain,and with your iron at setting warm to hot. iron over the paper. The heat from the iron will melt the wax onto the paper, clever really , just remember to move your paper to a clean space like this you will get all the wax lifted out. hope this helps you

Last Tuesday in class, we were doing a breathing excercise which we needed a hold a lighted candle four inches from our mouths. During the excercise my hand became unsteady and some wax fell onto my sweatshirt 'Hoodie". I tried getting the wax out with water and soap, but it did not come off. Does any one out there have a remedy to take out dried wax from a cotton sweatshirt?

I'm not so sure that my idea works on cotton but it sure won't hurt to try.
Just take an ice cube and rub it over the wax.
I have used this method many times but never on cotton.

I have a 60% cotton, 40% polyester brown sweatshirt that has a small set in unknown stain. I was wondering if there was any household item(s) that could get it out?

Try dawn dish detergent it takes out grease stains in clothes, or oxi clean

This a two dog island top seller for over 15 years

So my white sweatshirt got black sharpie marker stain on it as someone who used the dryer before me forgot to check their pockets and the sharpie leaked, and got onto my sweatshirt.
Do you know any way to get it out?
I tried "shout gel" and that had some effects but it is still visible. its about a 1"x1" mark and Im going to try bleach soon, but do you have any other ideas?

I tried taking this to the dry cleaners and even bought a Stain Remover gel from Safeway and the red-ish water stains all over my sweatshirt still won't come off.

Anybody dealt with this before?

Thanks, I'll both of those, hopefully it works...

Try dawn dish washing liquid. Put some on the spot and if you have an old toothbrush, use that to work the detergent into the fibers. Let it sit for an hour or so and wash. It should get it out. Good luck
