I need a black, fitted women's polo for work. Just wondering what is the best fiber blend for a sturdy, resilient shirt with minimal shrinkage in the laundry. It will have to be washed frequently and I need to hold up and stay tucked in. Any info?
Black cotton is going to turn grey with repeated washings, as the surface fuzzes. If you can find a wicking poly polo, that'd be my first choice. Lycra/spandex/elastane doesn't do well with heat, as in a home or commercial dryer.
I would not, however, choose poly for work around grease -- it tends to stain.

Bandeau & Sheer Jersey Bandeau?
Is the sheer one really sheer? is it more flimsy? I'm not familiar at all with fabrics
Cotton jersey gets its stretch from being a knit fabric, while cotton jersey with spandex also has tiny stretch fibers knitted into the fabric. It may make it more stretchy (depends on things like, how tight the weave is) but, more importantly, it usually makes things go back to their original shape--not get 'stretched out' so easily. ('jersey' always means a knit).
Spandex can be damaged by a hot dryer and lose some or all of its stretch.
I think there are websites that define and describe all kinds of fabrics, if you're interested.

Will the clothes with spandex mess with the pure cotton fabrics somehow? Thank you for any info. :)

I'm thinking of buying a garment steamer (the Jiffy J-2000, to be precise). I'm sick of ironing and my style is such that most of my clothes require it.
Most of the clothes I would like to use the steamer on are skirts and dresses that are either cotton or a cotton/spandex blend. Will the steamer work well on these fabrics? Also have a few rayon and polyester dresses I'd like to steam... will it work well on these? Are there any fabrics that the steamer will not work as well on?
And I already know not to expect perfect, crisp results from the steamer as I would get from ironing. :)
Thanks, I appreciate your help!
Steamers are great as long as you use distilled water and a pinch of salt. For stretchie fabrics just hold the steamer a little further away from the material as you don't want it getting too hot and melting the stretch in it. Happy steaming.

Condition: BNWOT, purchased from eBay, removed tag to prevent snagging, can’t find it… Current season dress store RRP $239. Never worn. Faint black lines at the back of the dress. I took several photos to show this. Markings very faint, I never noticed it before until today whilst taking photos. I'm sure these can be washed off quite easily.
