what is the difference in performance between regual TC/CVC and organic fabric?
IMG_2253

I have a client is looking for environmental friendly fabric to make uniform for food industry.

Due to experience on 100% cotton garment, we are very concerned about the performance in color fading/ fastness to crocking/ shrinkage/ peeling…
What is the difference between regual TC or CVC with 100% organic fabric? We would like to suggest our client on different contents, but what is the best and close to what they are looking for?

If you can give me some information on these subjects, or some suggestions on this, it will be much appreciated.

This is the link of original fabric standard for your reference-

Manufacturers use different dye methods on organic fabric. They claim the colorfastness is equal to non-organic fabrics on the market. It will depend on your supplier.

“In the US, it’s been difficult for manufacturers to acquire enough consistently dyed material to support commercial production”, states Tenfold President and General Manager, Paul Weinstein, “Aura’s patented process for naturally dying fabric on a large scale represents a huge leap for organic textiles. Its certified organic process produces consistent, colorfast fabric without the use of harmful chemicals or heavy metals. In fact, the effluent from the dye process is used to irrigate a vegetable garden behind the facility.”

Position or Performance?

A Priest dies & is awaiting his turn in line at the Heaven's Gates. Ahead of him is a guy, nattily dressed, in dark sun glasses, a loud shirt, leather jacket & jeans.

Lord Dharamraj asks him: Please tell me who are you, so that I may know whether to admit you into the kingdom of Heaven or not?

The guy replies: I am Banta Singh, taxi driver from New Delhi!

Lord Dharamraj consults his ledger, smiles & says to Banta Singh: Please take this silken robe & gold scarf & enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Now it is the priest's turn. He stands erect and speaks out in a booming voice: I am Sant Shiromani Baba so & so, Head Priest of the so & so Temple for the last 40 years.

Lord Dharamraj consults his ledger & says to the Priest: Please take this cotton robe & enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

'Just a minute,' says the agonized Priest. How is that a foul mouthed, rash driving Taxi Driver is given a Silken robe & a Golden scarf and me, a Priest, who's spent his whole life preaching your Name & goodness has to make do with a Cotton robe?

‘Results my friend, results,' shrugs Lord Dharamraj.

While you preached, people SLEPT; but when he drove his taxi, people PRAYED.

Moral of the story: It‘s PERFORMANCE & not POSITION that ultimately counts.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Oh-my-gosh! That was Brilliant, Hilarious and so damn true!!!.

Nat in bathtub I

Priest dies and is waiting in line at the Pearly Gates.
Ahead of him is a guy who's dressed in sunglasses, a loud shirt, leather jacket and jeans.
Saint Peter addresses him, "Who are you, so that I may know whether or not to admit you into the Kingdom of Heaven ?"
The guy replies, "I'm Joe Cohen, taxi driver, from New York ."
Saint Peter consults his list. He smiles and says to the taxi driver,
"Take this silken robe and golden staff and enter the Kingdom of Heaven ."
Now it's the priest's turn. He stands erect and booms out, "I am the Right Reverend Joseph Snow, pastor of Saint Mary's for the last forty-three years."
Saint Peter consults his list. He says to the priest,
"Take this cotton robe and wooden staff and enter the Kingdom of Heaven ."
"Just a minute," says the priest. "That man was a taxi driver. Why does he get a silken robe and golden staff?"
"Results," shrugged Saint Peter...........
"While you preached, people slept. When he drove, people prayed."

Moral of the story:
It's Performance, Not Position that Counts

  • Walker Report: Banks Risk Carbon Copy Non-Execs | Sterling ...

As the UK finance industry ponders the repercussions of Sir David Walker’s report on the banking sector, much has been made of proposals to declare the number of employees paid 1m or above . While this is an emotive issue that provides for great headlines, it’s likely this measure will have little impact on the growth or collapse of the UK financial sector.

Speaking to Chizu Nakajima , director for finance regulation and crime at Cass Business School and Charles Cotton , performance and rewards advisor for the CIPD , it’s plain they are worried the Walker report concentrates too heavily on remuneration and does little to address the underlying problems with the sector. These problems, they maintain, are around corporate culture and talent management.
