Cotton Percale

I am looking for NO IRON sheets and want to know what is the best for NO IRON - would it be a cotton/polyester combination?

Percale refers to a closely woven, high thread count, fabric often used for sheets and clothing. From the Persian "pargalah."
Percale sheets are the best you can buy.

Matalan do Egyptian cotton at exceptionally reasonable prices. Around (if I remember correctly) £8 per single sheet, £12 for the duvet case, and £7 for a pair of pillow-cases.

I don't think I washed them first but I just wanted to try them out. They felt weird to sleep on to me, like they felt "thick" Generally just not comfortable. I also can't sleep on cotton percale sheets either, which are not 100% cotton. I really like regular 100% cotton sheets.

I love cotton sateen sheets - also love 1000 thread count sheets. I agree they feel thicker but feel so luxurious.

what is the differnce between plain hem pairs and oxford unit pillowcases .

I have the choice to choose out of both when ordering pillow cases and am not sure of the difference. many thanks! here is the link to see what im talking about....

Oxford pillow cases have a wider "hem" around the outside, usually a couple of inches, where as plain pillow cases don't. If you look at the black pillow case on the left, that is the Oxford one.
