I don't want to use any type of metals for my jewelry. I'm starting to experiment with waxed cotton cord, I just can't figure out what's the best knot to finish each piece?! Any tutorials out there that are helpful? I prefer visuals than just written instruction.
Thanks!
My mom uses fingernail polish (clear) after tying a regular square knot. I'm not sure if she uses waxed cotton cord, however, but it might work for that as well.

I have gift boxes, but i'm looking for just the cotton inserts you put in the boxes, to "pad" the jewelry - preferably a popular chain store, so I won't have to order this online.
Hi, I don't know exactly.
But you could just buy batting, which I think should be available in cotton and at just about any craft store, then you will have to cut it to the size of your boxes. To cut the batting, I think it's thin enough you can just use scissors, but you could also squish it kind of flat and use an exacto or a razor blade to cut it.
(batting is just referring to thin sheets of padding, like you would find in a quilt or something.)
Price: $24.99
40 pockets per side, hangs in closet
Made of cotton canvas with vinyl pockets
Aluminum hanger snaps off if desired
You could cut your own out of cotton batting used for making quilts. It is sold by the yard/metre in fabric stores and usually WalMart has it also.
Ideal for handling jewelry and silver items without fear of fingerprints or tarnish
1 bag per order
Lightweight, large men's gloves
i hate getting shocked! i get shocked in dry places such as las vegas. plus, there's so much electricity there so i get painfully shocked left and right. i hate it! it hurts! does wearing 100% cotton and jewelry such as gold/silver bracelets, rings, necklaces help ease people from getting shocked? i already know rubber conducts electricity, but what about cotton and jewelry? and why is it that there are people who do not get shocked at all? what's their secret? thank y'all!
What does this have to do with Las Vegas????
