My son starts gym class next week and all I can find is the nylon/poly basketball shorts that are thin. I remember seeing some with a cotton short underneath that was longer than the nylon on top. Where can I find these?
I've seen them at Footlocker, I think they carry them all the time.

i have to go out soon to the gym and my cotton shorts are very damp the tumble drier isn't working. is it ok to microwave them to dry? ta in advance.
No, seriously no, don't even think about it you might not only burn your shorts but your house down as well. Hey this reminds me of a story my cousin told me of an American woman he said was in the news because she tried to try to dry her kitten in the microwave (of course with disastrous results) and then went on to sue the manufacturer's because it didn't say that you shouldn't dry pets in the microwave instructions!

The question - do you think it's okay for a guy to wear lycra spandex shorts when working out at the gym?
Me, I'm tall and pretty much built like an pro-football tight end (no pun intended). The gym isn't my life, but it will always be a part of my life. I work out hard to stay in shape and black lycra shorts just seem to feel better and function better than baggier shorts. My wife gets really turned on by it too :)
So, spandex shorts or no spandex shorts? If you like the idea - why? If you hate it - why? Do you immediately assume a dude is gay because of it?

Ok in my peronal opinion no guy should EVER wear spandex shorts to the gym. EWWWWWWWW!!! I don't assume the dude is gay but that is just EWWW!!!

i recently went on a mission trip so it's been sitting in my clothes for a while... i have cotton shirts and mesh gym shorts
use oxy clean or any strong laundry spray it on the spot for whole one day and then wash it on medium hot water that will do it hopefully i helped
Lately, a lot of women and some men are wearing the softer, shinier, lycra kind of spandex shorts to the gym here (California). I like the look and it appears more comfortable than my cotton spandex.
Is this a new fashion trend or is it somehow better function wise?

Cold Turkey or Cold Legs?
I hadn’t planned on doing this. This was not an intentional purchase. It happened….. on the way to the Toy Department at TARGET. I was with my son who just had two shots at the doctor’s (his MMR and Polio) – and he was still droopy-faced and teary-eyed as we walked into the grand RED-circle store. I told him he could get an early Hanukah present. And as we headed down the main aisle and cut left through the Kids section, we walked smack into the “sleep wear” department. That’s where I saw the flannel plaid and striped cotton pants. In ten seconds flat, both pairs were in my plastic shopping bin. Truthfully, I am sick of wearing my ex husband’s black Prana yoga shorts to bed – or alternatively, my pair of cotton gym shorts. That’s all I have. And believe it or not it does get cold in LA in the winter. I was sick of being cold. So there you have it. I broke down. I did. I did. I did. Am I guilty? Yes, a tad. But my legs are much happier in the early hours of the morning.
