One synthetic fiber is polyester, I'm not sure how it differs from cotton.

Clean the filter on your washing machine, and make sure you don't wash the shirt after you have washed towels or knits. Turn the shirt inside out and wash on cold with very mild detergent. Dry it by itself (again, not after towels) using a dryer sheet. Then use sticky tape to remove the lint. also might consider a good professional dry cleaner in the future.

There are 2 steps which you want to take to wash a large needle point rug. Also keep in mind that you will have some foot traffic patterns with which to be troubled.
Firstly, you need to obtain some plastic sheeting to put beneath the rug if it is not on a water resistant floor, for example vinyl. You’ll need some frothing carpet cleaner and a rug cleaning machine that doesn’t have rotating bristles. If the machine contains an upholstery tool, you may use that so long as it does not have any revolving bristles. When it comes to cleaning a needlepoint rug, regard it as a big piece of upholstery that must be cleaned.
Before you use the foaming carpet protection cleaners, do a spot test in a tiny subtle location to make sure of its color fastness. Spray on the foam, then let it sit for ten or fifteen minutes, then wipe it up with a wet rag. Don’t scrub the area ; wipe it up gently. Don’t continue if there’s any color in the foam, aside from the dust from the surface. If the spot test turns out fine then you can use the foam on the other areas. Although the directions on the can may indoctrinate to scrub the foam into the rug, don’t do so with a yarn rug. Instead use a damp material and work it around a little so that it will provide the surface with satisfactory coverage. Then let it sit for 10 minutes or so, then wipe the surface with a moist rag to take away the foam. Then wipe the surface rigorously with a marginally wetter rag, and wash it frequently.
