I am interested in small yardages (5 or less) of cotton fabric suitable for quilting. I have digital images of the repeats. Would like to be sure the fabric is washable and light-fast. I am not interested in iron-on transfers! Thanks!
There are a number of places that do digital printing on fabric. I'm not going to mention any by name because I have not used them and cannot endorse them, but do a search for Print Your Yardage and similar terms and you will find a number of companies who want your business.

The fabric is thin cotton, as used for quilting. I've tried lightweight cutaway and tearaway layered, but the stitches pucker the fabric as soon as I take it out of the hoop.
When I want absolutely no shifting of the fabric as the machine embroiders the design I use HTCW Wet N' Set Adhesive Tear Away or Floriani Wet N Gone Tacky.
An alternative is to use temporary spray adhesive for fabric - spray it on the stabilizer and press the fabric onto the stabilizer.

The wax ended up dripping onto the cotton fabric and hardening. I washed the fabric in the washing machine twice already, but the stain still doesn't come out.
The stain may not ever come out completely, but you can try this:
Heat your iron (regular clothes iron) to the cotton setting, get a piece of a paper grocery bag as it is absorbent, put the paper bag piece on the was spot and use the iron on top of the bag piece to heat up the wax and fabric by going back and forth over the spot. The wax should stick to the paper. move the paper around and reapply iron.
This works on carpets too.

I found this really cool Marimekko fabric online and was wondering if i could use it for my bedding. Also, does anyone know what PVC-coated cotton is like?
It is not suitable for bedding because it does not drape correctly and will wrinkle and crease - also if you use it for a duvet, it would be way too hot. What you could do is use an existing lightweight duvet cover and sew a large piece of it on the front - enough to make a statement, but not so much that it would wrinkle and crease alot.
I spilled some super glue on my trousers. I think they are made of cotton fabric. What will dissolve the super glue and take it out?
