A friend of mine told me when she was pregnant with her son it looked like she was pooping cotton balls... Now I suspect I'm pregnant and sometimes when I use the bathroon, little white "cotton ball" like things are present. Could this be a sign that I am pregnant? It's been happening for about 2 weeks now. And i am a day late on my period.
I was supposed to start my period yesterday. I've had slight cramping all day today and for the past 2 weeks all I want to do it cry. EX: My moms husband put onions in the tuna fish and I cried like I was dying. I've had all - tests but I just feel really weird. My little sister is pregnant, maybe I'm having symptoms for her?

In ALL the many pregnancy books I have read, *no-one* mentions crapping out white fluffy stuff as a symptom of pregnancy. Of intestinal worms perhaps, but not pregnancy. And do you really check your poo that closely anyway?

I read something in the Times about it in connection with teaching school kids boxing. Fill me in, please.

The cotton wool brigade (also paid up members of the 'nanny state' or the 'nanny society') are those who believe that humans are incapable of looking after themselves and must be protected i.e. wrapped in cotton wool from all of life's 'nasty' elements.
The cotton wool brigade are probably responsible for a new breed of sickly children who have not been allowed to have their natural immune systems developed through gentle gradual exposure to some of life's dirt. They believe in a life totally and artificially protected from all natural hazards and engendering a reliance on someone to 'not let it hurt'
Their children are not allowed to play in the park, climb trees, get their hands dirty or be out of their protective custody for more than a few seconds.
