Cotton Clothing

I have several clothing items that are made of cotton, and if they shrink, they won't fit anymore. I live in an apartment, so I can't really hang them out to dry. If I lay them out to dry, they smell horribly of dirty water and are wrinkly. If the clothing is white or black, they collect lint. Who wants to wear smelly wrinkly black work pants covered in lint? There's so much of it that a lint roller won't really take care of it. How can I dry clothes that can not shrink without these problems? Thanks!

If you have a bathroom extractor, hang your clothes up in the bathroom, and leave the extractor running.
I always do this in hotel rooms when I am away on business, and it works well.

Okay so i have some very expensive cotton clothing and i wanted to know if anyone knew how to dry clean cotton clothing yourself, and please i would like to have srious answers please.

You cannot dry clean yourself. Dry cleaning is done in special machines with special solvents. Not for home use.

The "dryel" home dry cleaning kits do not "dry clean" the clothes. They just give you a simple all purpose stain treater and a cloth that evaporates some simple surfactants in the heat of the dryer air. Never do the clothes get "dunked" in anything so to freshen them up, it may be OK but to get them clean, that is another story.

I read that 83% of cotton in the US is GMO, so it stands to reason that most cotton in clothing is GMO, but I couldn't find much reference to clothing when I looked up GMO cotton.

83% sounds just about right. A substantial amount of your clothing comes form US grown cotton (although it is made into clothing overseas). I would say that there is an 83% chance that your shirt is GMO.

There are two types of GMO cotton; Round-Up Ready and Bt. Round-Up Ready means that the cotton plant can survive a herbicide application. This means less fuel, man-hours and other alternative (and likely more toxic) chemicals are used in place of glyphosate (aka Round-Up).

Bt cotton has genes from a bacteria (Bacillus thurengiensis- "Bt") that produce toxic crystals that will rip open a caterpillars stomach. These crystals on work on caterpillars - not beneficial insects, not animals and NOT humans.

It is my humble opinion that GMO cotton is perfectly safe as it now exists.

When I go there I really want to find some egyptian cotton tunics and shawls etc. I know there are a few fabric districts but I'm looking for a place that actually has clothing..traditional stuff like kaftans also. BTW...i will be staying in Giza.

There is a nice shop for shawls and pashminas, caftans also and tea shirts all made of cotton. It is called Funky cotton. It is located near the pyramids at the beginning of the road to Alexandria a few yards after you take a turn to the right going to Alexandria. It is after a famous restaurant called Khristo.
Mobaco at the Nile Hilton hotel and the Intercontinental hotel has cotton clothes but not caftans and tunics, it has tea shirts, skirts, blouses etc.

I have a pair of 100% cotton kakhi shorts that have rosin spots set into the fabric. I've tried "stain stick" and "spray n wash" already.

Peanut butter is the solvent for pine tar. Just spread it over the stain, wait an hour or two and wash them. After washing, you may need Shout to get out the residual oil.
